Off The Record w/ Young Chop pt.2 (Video)

In part 2 of our Off the Record series with 18-year-old phenom producer Young Chop, he describes how the viral hit “I Don’t Like” came about – detailing how the chorus, verses and beat came together quickly during a recording session. In addition, Chop reveals insight into the remix of the Chief Keef track that features Kanye West, Pusha T, Jadakiss and Big Sean. Not the type of person to rest on his laurels, Chops remains as focused as ever – knowing that longevity in hip-hop is what separates overnight successes from those with ultimate staying power. – LRG

No word on if he is actually going through with that lawsuit he threatened Kanye with, however.

  1. calling him a phenom is a bit much in 2 years he will be gone his just the same as all the other laptop beat makers

  2. “PHENOM”???
Which dictionary are you using and what meaning is it giving you?
Inappropriate use of words; “that’s that shit I don’t like.”

  3. ^ I Would disagree, in the EDM and house scene alot of top name producers are ‘laptop’ producers who use FL Studio. Young Chop will only fade out because his music sounds like every other trapstar.

Its the mind behind the machine that counts. word up.
