There was a time when I thought that Jay-Z, X and Ja Rule coming together to form Murder Inc. was one of the best things to happen for NYC Hip-Hop since 2-for-1 $.50 loosies. But, as Lauryn Hill once said, Seasons change, mad things re-arrange. Obviously, that “season” was in 1999, and the re-arrangement? Egos, competition and timing. Still, you can’t deny that some of the records they put out were harder than a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20. Check it out… a compilation of tracks they did together. Tracklist & download after the jump.

50 had nothing to do with why Murder INC (that was the name of the group, not Mudergram). It is well known the group didn’t happen because of “egos” and problems within the group.
You forgot “Kill Em’ All” on Ja’s 1st album with all 3 of them!!!……
it looks like Jay is the biggest one, but I swear – Ja & DMX both can knock the shit out of Jigga.
i thought they were the original murder INC. to….kill ‘em all is number 3
“You forgot “Kill Em’ All” on Ja’s 1st album with all 3 of them!!!……”
actually kill em all only featured jay. its also included in the download.
Murder Inc. the group was dead in the water years before 50 bodied ja rule.
dead. this site gets worse everyday
I listen to it’s time to build so differently now, after Irv told that story about Jay and X on Rapfixlive.
these three guys mess up all they relationships.
jayz:dame dash,beanie s.,amil,peedi crack,young gunz,jazo,etc etc.
jarule:lloyd,ashanti,his tax preparer
dmx:his wife,his dogs,
these guys cud neva last in a group but it was dope while it lasted.
made some changes to post.
2Dope… Dogz 4 Life, Respect from Tunisia
50 Fucked Their Shit Up
Who would of ever thought all three guys featured on Mic G’s “Time To Build” would go on to be huge hip hop stars. To bad Mic Geronimo couldn’t follow suit.
Crazy crazy crazy classic. I remember them murda inc dayz
lol
Nice list. Here’s what I would add
Ja Rule/DMX – Read About It (Radio Freestyle)
Ja Rule/DMX – Niggas Don’t Want It/Gotti Style (track over I Shot Ya)
It’s Murda was probably the nastiest track released in ’99, that beat was SO GUTTER and they were all just talking so reckless.
I was always told that the group never came to be because of egos. We all know 50 killed Ja’s career, but that happened in 2002-03, and it had been a hot minute since these three were on a track together. Am I wrong to think that it was egos and not 50?
^^ you are correct. which is why i edited JES post a couple hours ago.
i was just thinking about this. this was the first xxl mag i ever copped. you guys did a great job on the collection. i would download but i have all these songs already.
jay-z was in so many damn groups he has this, than the (jayz and jaz) (jay and big L)(jay, biggie, lil cease and nino) (then jay, biggie charlie baltimore, lil cease) (jay-z and foxxy brown) (jay-z bleek sauce money) (jayz bleek amil n sigel) (jay and the roc la familia and all that) (the throne wit kanye)
oh shit !! memories man memories ! classic hip hop shit. good shit 2dbz
Oh how I’ve missed these 2Deep posts :/ hopefully this means we get more of these…
damn son this reminds me of the time hip hop was rugged and reckless. I fucking loved it then. Now niggas is singing and rocking skinny jeans and shit…w/e im downloading this shit son
Thanks.
Damn these niggas go hard
DMX used to be so good back then. So much passion in his raps. Would have been top 5 when he was at his best. Ja was always wack, boring flows and subject in every verse.
09. Mic Geronimo – Usual Suspects f. DMX, Ja Rule, The LOX & Tragedy Khadafi (Vendetta)
skip to 2:46 Hussein Fatal from the Outlawz is on this record.
I was just bumpin’ Murdergram the other day. Nice post!
Thanks for the post, a (2)dope compilation to liven up the week!
Good shit. I already had all of these n they get played on a regular. Especially murdergram. But I been seeing lyrics to one called INC Anthem but I aint been able to find the audio anywhere. Is that some shit yall can find?
a lot of people dont realize how ill ja actually was…
Pain Is Love 2 in stores now…
#FREEJA
50 Cent didn’t destroy this album… DMX had a falling out with each member before 50 came in and fucked shit up. Don’t get your “facts” from these blogs. Mother fuckers fucking up shit and not even allowed around rappers who sold millions of records. LOL.
Yea, Kill em all was dope.. I still bump these tracks, they get me hype.. crazy chemistry on wax… too bad Jay-Z is more concerned with corporate sponsorships then making actual music connections these days, Ja is still dope tho, I don’t care who he beefed with..or how many white Eminem fans say hes wack.. he has a crazy flow, and one of the most unique voices in Hip Hop… DMX is more concerned with Mike Vick’ing his dogs, speeding and smoking crack.
DONT FRONT LIKE JA CANT RAP OR WASNT GOING IN ON THESE JOINTS…VENNI VETTI VICCI IS STILL A CLASSIC RAP ALBUM…JA’S RADIO SHIT IS WHAT REALLY KILLED HIM RATHER THAN 50..
thanks. that’s a dope cover
