Looks cool but doesn’t seem like a good way to end the trilogy though I still think they could have chosen a better villian than Bane
Nolan chose Bane because Schumacher’s version was totally off base and Nolan wanted to chose someone who wasn’t typical.
Maybe it’s the well drinks, but something just seemed off about this trailer. It didn’t feel as epic to me as others have.
I just hope once this trilogy is over we can get a batman beyond film that would be boss

If you think the Avengers is going to be a better movie than this, you must not have seen Dark Knight. Avengers is just another fun but brainless action movie. And you can’t be serious about the new Spiderman?
the dark knight trailer was basic, except for a few laughs by joker. the movie turned out to be fantastic. this is plot-driven drama first and foremost, not cgi spectacle. hell, even the amazing plane scene was all practical effects

Avengers IS totally fun but brainless action movie. Seen it on last Friday (Apr 27) … released a week earlier in India. Dark Knight Rises will be different and definitely a more serious movie but in my opinion both films are a MUST-WATCH !!!
PS: Understanding Bane’s dialogues is not goin’ to be that easy it seems
Dark Knight shitted on every other marvel/dc movie ever released, Avengers included even tho i aint even seen Avengers yet. Why? Because Chris Nolan is a genius, he made some serious shit with the Batman series and didn’t go the bubblegum superhero way like the others did with Spiderman etc. Also the dude that said new Spiderman > this, probably loved The Hulk with eric bana.

I’m excited for Avengers & The Dark Knight Rises Both, which is why I’m going to see the former when it comes out this Friday. However, I must say that I think TDKR will be a better film based on the fact that Batman Begins & The Dark Knight were better than all the films Marvel has released leading up to The Avengers (Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, & Catpain America) so I’m guessing this film will be better too. The Avengers will be more action based and probably not delve into the pyschology of the characters, THDR will be more thought provoking, and have a stronger story, which I can appreciaite more than amazing effects

the marvel films are directed towards the younger generation to attract a larger audience and gross more numbers, while implicating core marvel theme.
but with this batman trilogy, the director is like peyton manning in the huddle: “whats the play? nah fuck that, we running THIS.” this gonna be one of the best movies in a while.

I live in Germany and here is what i can tell you, Avengers is hands down the best Marvel movie to date. Period.
They’ve should have just called it “The Adventures of Iron Man and Hulk,” because those two owned that movies!
This looks okay, nothing mind blowing yet.
They should have done this:
Get Johnny Depp to play a realistic/sinister version of The Riddler, Catwomen of course, Bane could be in it too. This movie could have been a mind bending/thriller similar to a movie like The Game with trick/unexpected twists/riddles/ and top of it off with the most epic suprising ending in movie history.
But this right here, looks okay – I can honestly day it looks just as good as The New spiderman trailer and Avengers.
The soundtrack sounds great so far with the silence and chants.

I like how people forget how legit the X-Men and Spiderman trilogies were story wise,they both came heavy with the story. The Avengers all had the happy go lucky movies. And Batman is just a more serious character overall regardless, no shit his movies appeal more to older people.
@Frenchie… let’s be honest bro. I loved Xmen 1 and 2, some of my top superhero movies that I can still rewatch, as well as Spiderman 1 and 2. But the third one of BOTH of those trilogies were trash. 3rd Xmen tried to do too many things and ended being a mediocre mishmash of different ideas, same goes for Spiderman 3. Seriously, Sandman, Goblin, Venom, combined with some engineered relationship problems? If they had focused on any one of those themes and developed it fully… Venom especially, that shit could have been genius. But it didn’t.
So for the Dark Knight Rising doesn’t look like it’s going to make the mistake of the Third.
