  • peopleAreDumb

umm..this was more of a joke at the expensive of young jeezy's character than a shout out. it's called sarcasm

  • live a little

This is hilarious. Forget the political ramifications and all that bullshit for a second, it's just funny. People always asking like the president has to be dead serious every second. Every president has a sense of humor and they use every opportunity they have to get some laughs.

  • Really?

@peter parker -- Romney doesn't have the interest of the common american in mind. He's already considered with those who earn more than $1 million a year. If you fall in that category, which I highly doubt, because, only 2% of americans do, then I can understand why you'd say that. Otherwise, you'd be voting against your own interests.

@dvdfvfvfv -- You don't think that Romney would be spending our hard earned dollars on lobster bisque and champagne, hotel suites and limousine rentals? If not, then you are sadly mistaken.

  • http://www.vimeo.com/user677428/videos Chi2LA23

yeah he's not shouting Jeezy out at all, he's using him for the butt of his joke.

  • Really?

@peter parker -- that should actually read; "He (Romney) is only concerned with those who earn more than $1 million a year." The man owns 5 houses. How many people do you know that owns 5 houses? Definitely not the common american.

Meanwhile, most people can barely afford the mortgage on the 1 house that they actually live in.

Man I think Obama is going too far with this latest stint of media display of so-called "coolness". Those white folks dont even know who jeezy is he must be making him the butt of the joke which is corny. • Chris

Obama is a person, he can crack a few corny jokes if he wants to. He's trying to keep the young vote on his side.
I respect Obama for not being like the typical politician. He can do his job, and be funny at the same time.

  • LexiCon

Y'all a bunch of hypocrites. You were so infurious when Bush was dancing and joking around, yet you justify every stupid move from Obama. He might shit on the sidewalk like fucking Ke$ha and you'll say "well he's a person, he can do that if he wants to".

  • dont ride my dick

    why yaw post no Hopsin?

  • marty mcfly

@sheesh, before you vote Romney just know that a large number of people who work for him are the same people that were in the Bush administration. Outta 20 something advisors helping to get Romney elected 19 of them helped get Bush elected back n the day. You know that president that kept us at war for years, spending trillions that crushed americas economy? Yeah that guy and Romney has said he is not concerned with the poor because he believes all the millions of poor people in america have a safety net already and if were lucky some rich people will create enough jobs. Thats prolly cause his 200 million he inherited and added to from many jobs he outsourced overseas keeps him real comfortable. Im sure he appreciates your vote buddy.

  • Bide

^Obama has spent more money in 3 years than Bush did in 8. Who's REALLY crushing the economy?

^Obama has spent more money in 3 years than Bush did in 8. Who’s REALLY crushing the economy?

Bide said this on April 29th, 2012 at 7:39 pm

^ foo that was to keep the economy stable and prevent it from getting worst. there wouldnt have been a need to stimulate the economy if the economy was stable and prosperous, like how bush inherited it. and in those 8yrs, he managed to bring us to where we are today... please, stop before you start.

  • Bide

There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that indicates that what Obama did with that money actually "stimulated" a damn thing.

Burning money on empty promises is no better than spending it on war. When hundreds of billions of dollars end up in Obama's sponsors' pockets, it very well may be worse.

  • Cali Grown

    @marty mcfly
Fuck all that. Americans have lost more civil liberties under Obama than Bush. Fuck healthcare, our rights are under attack. Obama now has more power than Bush never had. There is no more seperation of powers thanks to him

I don't know about you but my rights as a citizen are a very important matter. It's what makes America the land of the free.

    @the realist
Each one, teach one. They're message is 10x more potent than that of most mainstream artists.

  • the realest

thats bcuz it was too damn small. it was just enough to keep it from gettin worst. it should have been much more. he should have installed fear in the public like how the republicans do, and demanded about 2 trillion. THAT would have stimulated the economy. but the 700 billion was not enough. just enough to see another day. considering the real-estate bubble bursting and being involved in 2 wars WHILE cutting taxes at the same damn time!! that shit cray

^Whichever way you want to twist it and rationalize it to yourself, the bottom line is that this man is still wasting money MUCH faster than Bush ever did. I'm certainly not defending Bush, he was ridiculous and irresponsible as hell, and certainly one of the worst presidents we've ever had. But if the budget is your concern, then we absolutely traded bad for worse when we elected Obama.

@the realest chill cause Obama just cant win in some peoples eyes smh. @Bide, So with that stimulus money you mean to tell me you saw no change in - Education (less layoffs for teachers), Health (long term medical provisions), Welfare(how many americans pay for SOME expenses), Job Growth (GMC alone pumped alot of billions back in the country and kept many families going), Military needs for veterans, and overall economic recovery cause I could keep going in many other ways so etc etc cause the financial bleeding in america after Bush would have been 3x as bad by now without putting money in certain areas and taking money out of certain areas... You mean to tell me that you've seen NO evidence of where that money went? Just stop and @Cali Grown, if he's adding onto your future by created more chance for opportunity and keeping it affordable for most americans. Thats not really attacking your rights cause those rights you think are under attack were just small parts of larger bills that got passed that actually gave you a chance at a better life. As the future goes on things will be specified and modified so those laws that your trying to free up like being able to carry loaded weapons with extended clips any where in the country for crazy over protective white folks? Im sure you'll find a way to stop crying about that right anyway. Oh and Obama did this with alot less power then Bush because every time Obama makes a decision, congress takes more then 150 days to act and when they do they try to change his decisions or stop them all together. Bush had a reaction time from congress and the house of representatives that was twice as fast.

And excuse the "white folks" comment cause I know that makes some of ya'll mad but that was only too address one topic that some people like to complain about but anyway. When people talk about the money Bush spent they leave out the cost of continuing a war he started after he left office and they leave out all the money he spent funneling money into the 1% pockets from the oil companies. So thats a few more trillion that they dont count from Bush but they add to Obama just cause he walked into it in 08.

  • Bide

No, I mean to tell you that no matter what kind of random nonsense you pull out of your ass, not a single economist has been able to provide any evidence that the stimulus package worked. In fact, it was passed under threats that unemployment could reach as high as 8 percent if we didn't do it NOW, and within less than 6 months, unemployment was above 10 percent.

You know what? I'm getting tired of this circular conversation. Stop talking, and put up or shut up- either link to an article by a legit economist than can prove the benefits of the stimulus package, or take your L and start coming up with new excuses.

  • marty mcfly

@Bide, I could link 50 different things to show you that money was being spent that actually helped american families but if you not even willing to check yourself before you talk then I could put up a bunch of links and you just not gonna look at them or say they not credible. All you gotta do is go talk to struggling people in the community and ask some of them where they paychecks come from. Whatever company is paying them to work or even if they not and they getting unemployment. That money came from some where and alot of business were laying off people and closing their doors 5 years ago. The ones that were able to keep their doors open especially in institutions that we NEED, where do you think that money came from and how did it get pumped in the economy in just a few years so quickly? Thats cause decisions were made and the stimulus package was on of them. I could link you to something showing you that GMC has made a full recovery but thats something you can research on your own. That one move right there saved alot of people. Im Gone

  • Bide

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... the Obama administration in a nutshell. Lots of talk, and no substance whatsoever.

PS- the auto bailouts, while questionable in their own right, have nothing to do with the stimulus package. C'mon son.

  • Cali Grown

So hopes and dreams of elevating the people through music
doesn't keep food in your stomach or money in your pocket.

What it's all about right? Food for the stomach and money to spend. Those good ol' sensory desires. I guess Wilhelm Wundt was right when he said "man is just a social animal that must learn to adapt to his environment, instead of learning how to ETHICALLY adapt the environment to suit his needs and those of society."

Relating to the Rap industry, where might the problem lay? How 'bout the major record labels who seek the same kind of no substance artists to sign. This has been there agenda since Clinton signed the 1996 Telecommunications Act which promised more diversity and competition in music (LMAO!). From then on:

-corporate tried-and-true sellers that highlighted violence, misogyny, and materialism were rampant. More innovative music and songs with alternative messages were often viewed as risks not worth taking by major record labels.

-The practice of “payola” (illegal “pay for play”) became more unrestrained and often forced artists to pony up as much as one million dollars to get their songs played on radio. Most often artists with the most uplifting or political messages were the most negatively affected by payola.

-Many local DJ’s in touch with local emerging musical movements and local public affairs were fired and replaced by DJs who play homogenized cookie cutter playlists from a central location. Had the Telcom act been legislated 10 years earlier, it is quite possible that movements that produced Public Enemy or Nirvana would never have been heard by the masses.

"the poor kids not only in THIS country, but across the world, cant get fed off of hopes and dreams."

^So you actually can get fed off of "hopes and dreams" but we're just not being allowed to.

  • Cali Grown

    ^ @the realest

  • marty mcfly

@Bide, You cant put Obama's stimulus package in google and find ANY evidence of what that did? You want me to link you to information when there is already more then enough information out there? You know how many news outlets have been around in the last few decades and you cant find one as being credible in your opinion? Thats not my problem cause I dont know what to show you if you couldnt find it with your own computer. @Cali Grown, you can nit pick all you want about the music industry and banking practices that Obama is clearly against, especially when he has made speeches about how insider trading and unregulated practices in those areas isnt a good thing for america but the reality is more then 40 million americans are struggling so if you think that stimulus money that extended alot of peoples benefits and helped keep alot of them working and their lights on and food in the fridge then I dont know what to tell you. America has hundreds of thousands of different businesses that need money to function and Bush left them in bad shape my friend. That is the truth but business still need to keep going or people dont eat. Bush's plan was LET THEM ALL FALL OFF cause I got mine so fuck them.

  • marty mcfly

Romneys plans are very similar to Bush, regardless of how many times he flip flops on issues just to look like he can relate to you or like he even has the ability to help this kind of economy.

  • Droid

@the realest you should change you name cause ive noticed that nobody even fucks with you on this site.

  • marty mcfly

@bide, and since you know what was and what wasnt a part of the stimulus package then why dont you look at the condition of the country before it and after it. Giving each side some period of time to make an opinion on it. Your looking for some automatic visual difference like as if you had an area full of just dirt and rocks and then 4 months later (like 4 years later for the U.S) you see a fully functioning farm with every different type of food and plant and tree in it. Some things dont work like that because america is a huge place with millions of people in it. You not gonna go from struggle to paradise for every city and every household automatically like that because people still gotta pay bills and save up before their actually start getting ahead again. Businesses gotta hire in one location before they expand to others and putting financial confidence back in the hands of the consumer must happen first and that is not a fast fix after almost a decade of fuckery before Obama took office. His first term was larger spent stopping an extreme fall off and you know it.

  • Pauly D

I have a major problem with the rights that President Obama is violating for us honest and loyal Americans.

If you ask me, there's no difference in voting for either Obama or Romney.

  • MindFuck

is this still a rapblog or did it just turn to cnn ?

  • Cali Grown

"...if he’s adding onto your future by created more chance for opportunity and keeping it affordable for most americans. Thats not really attacking your rights..."

That has nothing to do with civil rights. The way I see it is I have no future or opportunity if my rights are being eroded.

"cause those rights you think are under attack were just small parts of larger bills that got passed that actually gave you a chance at a better life...like being able to carry loaded weapons with extended clips any where in the country for crazy over protective white folks?"

Small parts of larger bills that gave me a chance at a better life? Carrying loaded weapons w/ extended clips? Na man, I'm talking about my right to a fair trial and not being detained indefinitely by the military for being "associated with terrorist forces." This intrusion on my right to due process and habeas corpus bothers me more since being a patriot and holding similar political views to the Founding Fathers is basically borderline terrorism now-a-days according to our government. If staying true to the roots of how our government should operate makes me a terrorist there's a problem.

"Obama did this with alot less power then Bush."

When I said "Obama now has more power than Bush never had." I was referring to how he violated the Constitution's War Powers clause with the war in Libya. Under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution only the Legislative branch has the authority to declare war not the Executive branch unless we are under imminent attack. In other words WE decide through our representatives how we are to conduct the affairs that affect us. This is all to prevent the actions of kings who would do what they want.

Seperation of powers is a well known, important concept in US government which is now no more due to Obama and his Executive branch's power grab. It prevents any of the 3 branches of government from becoming too powerful.

Habeas Corpus, Due Process, Seperation of Powers are all concepts that differentiate the land of the free from tyrannical kingdoms and their kings. Now those concepts are gone. What will this "man of/for the people" do next if he's reelected?

Thank you @Pauly D. We've always seen eye to eye on a few subjects. Oh, and for the record when Obama was running for President in 08, I was ecstatic. Then I enrolled into adult school for my HS diploma, took government, started thinking for myself and saw things differently.

  • marty mcfly

@Cali Grown, I dont know man maybe you work in anti terrorism or in military foreign affairs or something but most of us just wanna work and feed our families. Its that simple for most of america so as long as Obama is focused on that I dont really care about that other shit because again most of those kind of complaints are just small parts of a bigger situation and the people who dont like those bills take the details of them outta context. What are the chances that YOU getting locked for the rest of your life for a supposed act of terrorism? So why be so concerned about what will most likely never happen to you? Why are you more concerned with acts of war that obviously Obama does not think are good for america, more then other more important issues like americas future here for everyday people? For the record I do not cosign every move Obama makes but imo the good far out weighs the bad cause his main goal is to keep the american dream alive and make it more reachable for americans. So we can agree to disagree on certain issues.

  • Cali Grown

"most of us just wanna work and feed our families"

I'm the same way, my dude. I just take my freedom very seriously as should you and everybody else. These unconstitutional acts might not seem like much to you but people have died so that we can live in the comfort of them and not in fear of any form of government takeover like some uncivilized country. If a line isn't drawn now when will it be? Where will we be as a free country in the years to come? Our government has a nasty history but one thing we Americans have to hold on to is our civil liberties and I don't appreciate any President who doesn't respect them or their constitutional boundaries.

"most of those kind of complaints are just small parts of a bigger situation and the people who dont like those bills take the details of them outta context"

These "small parts" or "details" are constitutional rights! They are among the liberties that allow Jay Z to spit a verse that you can enjoy. These are limits placed on privileged power that prevent a Hitler from taking office! When they are disregarded we begin to walk in uncharted territory.

"What are the chances that YOU getting locked for the rest of your life for a supposed act of terrorism? So why be so concerned about what will most likely never happen to you?"

Because the constitutional views I hold (like many other people today or in history [i.e. Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Patrick Henry]) are actually contrary to what the US government is doing today. They're straying away from the roots of freedom and because of that I'm potentially a terrorist when I'm just sticking to what made this country great.

"Why are you more concerned with acts of war that obviously Obama does not think are good for america, more then other more important issues like americas future here for everyday people?"

    My above responses answer this.

I respect your stern beliefs Marty but I feel your gravely mistaken when it comes to Obama. Sure he may appear to be a honorable President but a respectable President respects the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

I got work tomorrow morning so I'm out for now but props for the healthy
debate as always. Peace & respect.

  • Cali Grown

The last quote of yours that I responded to I could get into w/ great depth but for reference try looking up the CIA's overthrowing of Iran's Prime Minister in 1953 aka Op. AJAX or how Sadaam Huessein and Osama Bin Laden were once allies of ours. Maybe then you'll see why I'm so concerned with our President's acts of war.

  • asdf

we think youre a joke shove your hope where it dont shine

  • marty mcfly

Obama is not trying to violate your constitutional rights dude. All that is some bullshit cause he aint locking you up or none of your friends up for nothing involving terrorism or your freedom of speech. How many death threats you think he gets? Does he go around locking all those people up? No and as of Right now you have the right to go outside and do whatever you want as long as you aint hurting nobody and Obama is not stopping you. 2nd you said Obama declared War on Libya when thats not what he said. He declared possible military involvement by the united nations which IF needed would have been carried out by a coalition on a specific mission. That is not declaring a war.
