Sha Stimuli to Release 12 EPs in 2012

Back in 2008, Sha went against the norm and dropped 12 incredible mixtapes (Hotter Than July being my favorite). And now, four years later, he’s back at it. This time releasing official EPs as part of a series he’s dubbed The Rent Tapes. The Calling came in January and The Chills is next up; dropping on February 29th!

  1. How about one great album with 12 great songs that i’ll remember after 2 weeks.

  2. this dude is the definition of being talented but not knowing how to actually apply it to something people wanna hear

  3. i love dis idea, its gone show who really rocks with Sha and his movement. im excited

  4. How can he apply his great talent to something people wanna hear when people dont wanna hear real shit anymore? Listen to the Calling, everything he puts out is great. Most under rated artist right now no question about it. Can’t wait to hear all 12.

  5. who has the time or patience to listen to 12 ep’s. I don’t care how talented you are in this modern age that’s a sure fire way to make sure no one listens. quality > quantity.

  6. lol look like he got cocaine withdrawal chills in that screen shot though

  7. ^^ how hard is it to listen to an EP every 30 days? haha… nevermind. no sense arguing with folks here.

and for the record, sha always spits that QUALITY.

  8. Sha is dope. Yall ppl hating but u should actually listen to the music b4 u judge it. Sha is that dude. Don’t sleep! I’m just glad to get a lot of new music from one of my fav mc’s.

  9. Always happy to hear about new Sha.

  10. recent rappers off the top of my head who went for quantity over quality for buzz (talent is irrelevant because over saturation negates it anyway): XV, charles hamilton, gorilla zoe, los, & sha stimuli. number of them who were able to turn that into an even slightly hyped album worth buying: zero

  11. and by quality, i mean putting in a good/great album, not coming out with solid mixtapes but then laying an egg when it comes to albums

  12. ya’ll sleepin idiots… like its hard to make quality songs when your putting your heart into it.. and over saturation is awesome.. i wish eminem over saturated us in the early 2000′s…

  13. Wait he’s saying “The Calling” was an EP? It was a full length album if you ask me. It was 14 tracks long

  14. @shastimuli no rapper has been able to maintain quality when releasing so many songs and carry that over to an album as well. i think if eminem wouldve released more theres a chance the quality couldve dipped, thats definitely not a stretch.

  15. Sha’s quality doesn’t slip. And seriously comparing him to Charles Hamilton and gorilla Zoe is a joke. If u like quality hiphop like nas jay 2 PAC em then you should like sha also. How is too much of a good thing bad. Stop hatin on real shit and go listen to your Rick Ross bs.

  16. i do like sha. im just saying putting out that much isnt a good idea. just cuz the other examples arent as good as him doesnt mean its guaranteed to turn out great

  17. Sha Stimuli is that dude! I usually don’t get caught up in the c-section type stuff here but I’ve never been more surprised/frustrated at a lack of support of an artist.

Every post Sha has should be received like Krit, XV, Kendrick and artists like that who get 200+ thumbs up everytime.

  18. Every song Sha puts out is nice. Some of the beats I’m not crazy about but he’s ALWAYS on point with lyrics and concepts. I’m excited to hear his new EPs. Is 8 songs every 30 days really TOO MUCH music? Not from Sha. Dude is TOO talented. I’ll pay the $5.

  19. Now I’m a big Sha fan, but I don’t think that’s a good idea. I didn’t really feel The Calling as sost of the production was meh, but hopefully this will be better,

  20. great this just means I’ll have at least one solid album every month
