Thing is, it´d probably be cool if it was only your own life that was at risk when you drive when your drunk/high or w/e, but you´re putting other lives at stakes and that´s the main issue. Like, no one is telling you not to drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes even tho it kills you (although they´ve banned weed, cocaine, etc. for some reason?), but drinking and driving is something else.
