  1. Thats cool. I’m not going to hate Shake and Meka. Everyone likes what they like. I agree with a lot of the projects on your list. ReturnOf4eva and Nostalgia Ultra were mixtapes though not albums.

  2. Sucker for Pumps & House of Balloons.

  3. really relate with shakes list. liked schoolboy, asher, xv, pac div, the throne & the roots the most this year

  4. bro I’m sorry take care was easily in the top 10, not disagreeing with anything else but c’mon dudes

  5. “bro I’m sorry take care was easily in the top 10, not disagreeing with anything else but c’mon dudes”

that’s why it’s called an OPINION. these are OUR favorites.

  6. obviously these are personal opinion but i would have liked to see Take Care on there

  7. “ReturnOf4eva and Nostalgia Ultra were mixtapes though not albums.”

please read the write up above my list. thanks.

  8. moral of the story – great music dropped this year.

  9. Thank you for not including Aubrey.

  10. “moral of the story – great music dropped this year.”

    agreed.

  11. My greatest discovery: Juicy J – Stoner’s Night.

Only found out yesterday because of Meka. Shit is fucking hilarious.

  12. XXX
    Nostalgia Ultra
    Watch The Throne
    TM103
    Take Care
    Return of 4eva
    Section 80
    Covert Coupe
    Lincoln Way Nights
    Undun

    my favorite ten projects

  13. Dope List Indeed
About 90% Of This Is In The iTunes On Heavy Rotation
Can’t Wait To See What 2012 Holds

  14. take care had a few good tracks but nothing meaningful enough to make it that good. and master lee both of those were actually also re-released as albums…

  15. take care had a few good tracks but nothing meaningful enough to make it a contender. and master lee both of those were actually also re-released as albums…

  16. Return of 4eva is a mixtape, imo
Take Care was wack, stfu. Same thang for Wash The Throne.
The 2dope songs list by Meka is very weak tho.
Btw, Krit man of the year, Section 80 album of the year, Bun and Tech’s Raw Shit song of the year #okbye

  17. For me, Take Care was the most overrated album this year. Real heads, and I mean dudes that have been on hip-hop from day one, will tell you that Drake’s emo-rap should not make the list of the year’s best.

  18. Dope! I see your still riding with asher, shake. He’s still so underrated. Good project. Kendrick, KRIT, Cole, Frank, The Weeknd, Jay/Ye, Drake, Childish. Good year.

  19. so many great things have dropped. its sort of tough to decipher between mixtape, album, ep. etc. I just look at them as great works. SO tough to pick an outright winner, but HOB was it for me

  20. Despite ANYONES opinion after this post within this comment box.. You gotta admit, THIS YEAR all of our artist came hard (pause). Im proud of every single one of them, and proud to be apart of this hip hop community, from the drama through the good events.

  21. RAP GAME FUCKED UP BWAH! FUCK YOU THINK I RAP FOR?
Thank god for someone realizing the masterpiece that is Brand New Guy.

  22. I think I respect these lists more for NOT including take care

  23. SMFH so sick of people in the c-section crying about other people’s opinions..

Let me just say 2011 was a good year and these lists by Shake and Meka look a lot like my list.. but regardless of that, good job on the blog this year and nice post!

  24. I like the list…but it would’ve been complete for some love for Tech N9ne and ScienZe …. they had phenomenal 2011′s.

  25. Very surprised Meek Mill’s Dreamchasers project or its singles (I’ma A Boss, House Party) didn’t make either list.

  26. i agree with most of the list but i’m surprised premier politics and well done didn’t get a mention

  27. My bad Shake I didnt read that before I posted. I know you guys love to talk shit about Drake but Take Care was really a great album. I’m still listening to it. I would have loved to see it on the list but it is your guys opinion so i’m cool with it. Shake and Meka I have a question for you. Are you going to bring back the 2dope artist submissions so some of us have a chance to get our music posted on the site? I hope you guys bring that back soon.

  28. So no Drake or J. Cole…but, whatever. These were y’alls favs. It was a great year in music.

  29. 2011:

Saigon – the Greatest Story Never Told
    Kendrick Lamar – Section 80.
Jay Rock – Follow Me Home
    Mobb Deep – Black Cocaine
Crooked I – In None We Trust

  30. cold corner 2 > everything else

  31. Aubrey is the worst.

JMT – Violence Begets Violence / Action Costanza & Statik – Well Done, 2 of the best of 2011

  32. COol list some artist I could give 2 shits about but that’s what U dudes like. Anyhow what about the best C-Section commentator?

FOr sure you dingle berrys better put B-LINE on that shit!! top poster get’s a night out with that red head you always putting videos of.

    WHERE’S MY PROPS NINJAS!!!!

  33. setbacks is dope beyond comprehension

  34. WHERES LUPE FIASCO’S LASERS??

  35. really shake & meka, “well done” doesn’t make your list?

  36. Population Control & Black & Brown missing from these lists….

  37. album=WTT… mixtape-wale 11on11 theory… Song-meek mill ima boss (mainstream)and Kendrick lamar rigamortis (underground)…

  38. I fuck with your picks like Jhené Aiko, Kendrick, ScHoolboy Q, Thurz, Saigon etc
but Danny Brown’s “XXX” def deserves a mention. Or maybe yall just weren’t feeling it like i did. S’all good tho. Good lists, shake n mek.

  39. No Voli or Elite mixtapes?

    that’s a bummer

  40. Or maybe it was mentioned and i cant read those lil letters n shit.

  41. Totally agree with Population Control not on this list…

I just peeped out this kid KG’s podcast….nice little free mixtape of the year 2011…nice little twist on some big songs from this year… http://kevgrant.podomatic.com/. Pretty dope!

  42. Oh yeah shake mentioned it.

    #IncomeTaxSwag

  43. maffew ragazino – rhyme pays
    cunninlynguists – oneirology
blu – give me my flowers while i can smell them
    elzhi – elmatic

those are the only projects that REALLY stood out for me this year. maffew ragazino’s album blew me away and i was especially impressed because i had never even heard of the dude before. onierology was a crazy album cause of kno’s production and it was a pretty cool concept. blu’s new album was pretty fucking good too with some crazy exile production and blu’s rapping was on point as to be expected. elmatic was crazy too, will sessions redid nearly every beat on illmatic and they all sound amazing and elzhi is always crazy good.

  44. One of the best lists on the web.

    Fuck Lasers and Take Care.

  45. Wow Meka took the lazy route lol.

  46. You lost cred by including ayomari and tiron.

  47. I guess you didn’t listen to Season 2 or Population Control

  48. Oneirology YAY YAYYYYYYY

  49. Nottz and Asher Roth – RAWTH
Rashad & Confidence – The Element Of Surprise
    Joell Ortiz – Free Agent

    ^^ Only things missing

  50. returnof4eva was a album all orginal beats & lyrics. once i found out that drake stole like 15 songs on take care from other artist that ruined that shit for me.

  51. What’s your issue with Take Cake Mr. Shake?

  52. Evidence
    Saigon
    WTT
    Lasers
    The Dreamer The Believer
    Take Care

Take Care and Lasers dont have to make the list because its just their personal opinion but to act like those albums dont even deserve to make the list at all is just denial. Drake could have made a million dollar super commercialized album and made every song a radio smash but he didnt. He just made some real shit, in terms of being real to his sound. Lasers had a great year regardless of the controversy and the hate by hardcore hip hop fans cause if people got over the beats and really took the time to listen they would have heard Letting Go, Words I Never Said, Beautiful Lasers, State Run Radio and All Black Everything. Just saying but the list is cool though.

  53. Definitely feeling the list I just definitely wouldve had Banks up there. CC2 was one of the best tapes this year.

  54. ar these in order?

  55. @marty mcfly

man take yo gay ass on somewhere.how you always just pop up out the blue you fuckin troll.

  56. @trent, who r you? Exactly, nobody. Thats why you mad thats why you why you mad mad…

  57. For every person that hated Take Care they’re are 10 people that loved it. You haters are in the minority. Shout out to Meka for including Jhene Aiko’s Sailing Soul(s). One of the best projects of the year in any genre in my opinion.

  58. This list is pretty much on point I would just take away WTT and Frank Ocean out of the top albums and replace those with Nujabes- Spritual State and Eligh and Amp Live- Therapy at 3 and thank you for not putting down lame ass Aubrey or small Sean

  59. NO cole world : sideline story ?! WOW

  60. Great list. Finally a rating I can somewhat agree with. Not the kinda ish other music websites have been publishing. But I agree, Tech N9ne should’ve been on this! It ain’t complete without him and Strange.

  61. Nice list. Only ones I don’t agree with are the ones I haven’t heard. Only one I see missing is All 6′s and 7′s.

  62. Marty your husband made the top 10 albums. You can stop trollin. Now go away.

  63. FROM THE WE$T$IDE, WITH LOVE PT. 2- DOM K.
    GIFTRAPS- CHIP
    ROLLING STONED- SMOKE DZA
THE ELLSWORTH BUMPY JOHNSON EP- PRODIGY
    RAEKWON- SHAOLIN VS. WU-TANG
    LA RIOTS- THURZ
    SECTION 80- K. DOT
    WEEKEND AT BURNIES- CURREN$Y
WHEN FISH RIDE BICYCLES- THE COOL KIDS
    ROYAL FLUSH 2- CYHI

…….. 2011 was a hell of a year for music in general… i hope 2012 brings more eargasms!!!

  64. im suprised you didnt put up danny brown………….

  65. I’m suprised you guys didnt put up Cole World. I thought you guys were big J. Cole fans?

  66. There’s a lot of fucking morons that just look at the pictures and don’t take the time to read, cole world was listed on there and many other projects if you jut read, quit bitching to the dope boys about who and why something’s not up there. Stfu already and move on. Happy new year

  67. fuck take care you pussy ass niggas, their list is pretty good

  68. Reason these lames didnt put drake or cole in there top is because they are on bigghostfase dick. Some ugly fat out of shape nigga who never gets any pussy who hides behind a twitcon & never shows his face.Shake just wants to seem “cool” by not adding it to his top albums & even goes as far as calling him the”kitten whisperer” to seem hard or sum shit on twitter.fuck outta here you dudes are lames to the 10th power.& no im no drake fan FUCK DRAKE im just stating facts incase you niggas didnt know.

  69. Meka’s has some wack shit in there. But Shake’s is almost identical to my list.

  70. The Doppelgangaz – Lone Sharks is best of the year.

    SHARK!!!

  71. 2011 killed it. section80 takes the cake imo!

  72. I’m sorry a lot of the shit on those lists are ass. But to each his own
    My top 7 albums:
    The Roots – undun
    IAME – Lame
    Grieves – Together/Apart
    Evidence – Cats & Dogs

  77. “Any & Everything Released by Juicy J” Meka
    ^^^^^^^^^^
    Co-Sign, Trippy!

  78. real solid picks, a lot of projects i liked and some i didnt. i like the fact that lasers wasnt included as well as take care, and i like the fact that u guys didnt put cole world in the top 10, good album but not great. all in all it was a great year for hip hop, its def moving in the right direction and im excited to see where it goes in the next few years when this new class of talent really starts to blossom. the most important thing in hip hop is supporting the music u love, and if everyone does that, the genre will b fine

  79. Meka included Homeboy Sandman’s 72 For Chosenberg and Random Axe’s Chewbecca on his Top Songs, so I’m good….

  80. Good list!

  81. agree with like 80% of this list. the 20% i haven’t listened to. quality year for music

  82. the only thing in this list worth mentioning is Random axe. The rest is garbage. P!

  83. a lot of people need to click the image and get the full size.
i included both j cole and danny brown in mine. they just got honorary mentions instead of top 10 spots. thats all.

  84. Im starting to love the end of year reviews! I get to catch up on 4 or 5 gems I might have missed during the year. I been on all the sites and blogs collecting them. Thanks coupleofmaleswithnarcotics!

  85. ReturnOf4Eva was THE best project from 2011. Big KRIT is the standout artist from this year and I can’t wait to hear his debut. If you haven’t jumped on the train yet, here’s a taste of the best artist to come out in recent years:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ID8oBR82nnw

and this was on the Cunninlynguists album.

  86. WTF. NO FASHAWN on the list anywhere?? cmon 2dopeboyz “higher learning 2″ was crack. way better then 80% of that list.

  87. UUMM WHY DIDNT BLU’S JESUS OR NOYORK DIDNT MAKE THE LIST?? Questions that need anwsers.

  88. NO BIG TEN? U BUGGIN THAT SHIT GOES HARD AS HELL.EVERY SONG IS TOUGH CEPT ONE

  89. anything and everything released by juicy j…..thank you meka, this made my life

  90. phil ade ADW ? oh wait this is your opinion

  91. where’s OddFutures stuff *any of it*… and what about A$AP Rocky… oh And Danny Brown…….

  92. I wonder why Fresh Daily “Quiet Life” did make the mixtape cut.

  93. Section.80 took No.1 for me this year, followed by Return of 4eva…

  94. meka’s >> Shakes

  95. I’m still mad I bought that very underwhelming Thurz album… smh

  96. GOTTA INCLUDE DIZ GIBRAN THE RETURN EP

  97. “I’m still mad I bought that very underwhelming Thurz album… smh”
Don_Demarco said this on December 30th, 2011 at 8:01 pm
    ^^^^
    ….
    Wow…

  98. the bold part in post reads “Personal” you know? 2011 just passed away but niggaz still mad. ya need MICROSCOPE if u cant see XXX or Cole World listed as Extras. btw yeah i second that shake it was hard to select best of the past year. great list anyway ya taste is much like mine YA BOY SHAKE.

  99. WHERE THE FUCK IS XV ZERO HEROES WAS AMAZING

  100. ASAP Rocky?

  101. Zero Heroes should NOT have been an extra, it is an easy top ten mixtape. Also where the hell is XV’s and Kendrick’s “Textbook Stuff” on the Top Projects list.

  102. Individual lists were better than this image crap, at least you could link to the post or the itunes that way. Was kinda looking forward to seeing a Justice/Miss Peas personal lists too.

you guys should still post those.

  103. -Anything Big K.R.I.T.
    -LOVELIVEA$AP
    -Anything Curren$y and Jets
-Grynch and Sol gets alot of plays from me down in new orleans, great for starting house throw downs off to.

Great lists from meka and shake, bout to try some of those on the lists i slept on all year

  104. HOW is BLACK UP or NOYORK not on here ?

  105. Good lists both of you. I’m surprised 9th Wonder didn’t get a mention from either of you, It was my favorite, but eh. I lol’d with “any and everything released by Juicy J” haha. I still never checked out ANY of his solo records, anybody got a recommend for me?

  106. 50 Cent – Take Me Higher??? That song doesn’t even exist

  107. Shake when the Fuck is that Q coming out man,I know you know

  108. Great list, but J Rock’s follow me home needs to bump out Saigon

  109. Elmatic>>>>Your Favorite Project

  110. what makes nostalgia ultra a album and not a mixtape?

  111. Kendrick needs to be on those lists like 5 more times, dude is artist of the year 2011

  112. Zip up his pants when you’re done^^^^^

  113. Everyone bitchin about ShakenMekas PERSONAL list should take a breath and instead take the time to appreciate another great year with this blog.. Easily the best rap music blog out there

  114. DIGITAL CRACK VOL 32

  115. @Mr. Coolish AMEN BROTHER. Textbook Stuff blew my mind. Zero Heroes is the underdog, and XV is always ALWAYS the underdog. It’s a shame.

Not only wasn’t there love for ScienZe (for neither EP or Album), Tech N9ne…but also Chip Tha Ripper! That Gift Raps mixtape was the first fire mixtape of 2011! That shit was beyond dope! Chip’s gonna come up. I think Chip Tha Ripper is never mentioned when people talk about that marijuana music…he makes some of the best.

  116. Meka, Cold Day in Hell and Return of 4eva are def in the top projects of the year. Theres no doubt about it really…

  117. L.A. Riot was the best album released this year

  118. decent list. too bad k.r.i.t. didnt drop his album before the year ended

    click my name

  119. yall did From the westside with love Dos grimey tho, it was Dom worst but still better then niggas like Childish Hamblino

  120. What didn’t make the list was the new Hip Hop app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It’s called Hip Hop To Heaven! All you TRUE hip hop fans would enjoy it! Check it out people. The best $2 you will spend

  121. Wax’s Eviction Notice mixtape is. getting tragically slept on right now. easily one of the top ten, it at least deserves some recognition

  122. this is a good list but I personally think people should man up and rank them, it’s more fun to try to compare them to one another even if it is harder to do. I find this list a bit better

    http://www.passedpresent.com/2011/12/editorial-top-5-albums-of-2011.html#more

  123. yeah…so i decided to give my top 10.
    http://austinwnewton.wordpress.com/2011/12/30/my-favorite-hip-hop-projects-of-2011/

@RSE ALL DAY – Wax is awesome. I took some vids of him at ACL.

  124. I read the disclaimer, but how can you call Nostalgia Ultra an album and House of Balloons a mixtape when HoB is all original production and half of Nostalgia is jacking beats? Still, both were awesome projects.

  125. Overall a great list…I’m just happy that Duckin’ N’ Dodgin’ got some love, that’s one of my favorite tracks from this year

  126. HOOD GON LUV ME CUZ DA HOOD GON TRUSS ME…….FREETSHRT

  127. A. HOLE YOU PAPOOSED YOURSELF!!!©

  128. before I awoke- coss. album was dope as fk

  129. Half of the items on this list are only there because you guys worked with them in some way. Make a list with your opinion, not your wallet

  130. Yo whuzzup with my man polyester?

  131. Dope list, really. Much better list than 95% of the hip-hop sites out there.

    @Maccaveli
Um, I´m not 100% sure but wasn´t Nostalgia/Ultra originally a shelved album that Frank Ocean then put out for free?

  132. not that i need to defend my personal list but NoYork didnt make it because i prefer blu over soulful instrumentals rather than the abstract electronic stuff.

whoever mentioned the big ten was right, that ish did go hard. its difficult to remember EVERYTHING when doing these lists.

i did mention asap, diz, xv, etc some people just gotta read better.

  133. “Individual lists were better than this image crap, at least you could link to the post or the itunes that way.”

i included itunes links to every selection right after the image.

  134. pretty dope lists, everyones not gonna be satisfied obviously but yall lists shit on most of the other best of the year lists.

  135. Shake list is always better than Meka’s, but it still be decent.

  136. What’s the point of finding out Shake and Meka’s favourites? Wouldn’t it be a lot more interesting to have a poll for each category, and let all the fans at 2dbz choose?!?! …and then show the rankings.

I think that would be cool to see…because, who really gives a fuck what either of you two like lol? Your opinions are swayed with $/Ads/rappers who’s asses you kiss… And on top of it all, like shake has said over and over in the c-section…its just YOUR opinion! I wanna see…EVERBODYS opinion!

“But that’s just my opinion” lol… Happy New Year to everyone!

  137. ^^ i never once said folks couldnt put their opinion in the c-section. and if you’ve read through… they have. and for the record, 2dbz has NEVER succumb to payola for ANYTHING. ive never once cared about relationships, etc in this. i always voice my opinion and will continue to do so.

  138. Shake how did u go about classifying Free projects as mixtapes, some as albums, some as EPs? It seems like if it was free the project could be interchanged in all 3 categories

  139. Take Care is wack, it is not Hip-Hop. Amazing list.

  140. “Shake how did u go about classifying Free projects as mixtapes, some as albums, some as EPs? It seems like if it was free the project could be interchanged in all 3 categories”

like i said in the write up, no real way to go about it. i remember frank ocean saying he considers this his debut album, etc. EPs really werent hard… if it was under 10 tracks or so, boom.

  141. XV zero heroes
    KENDRICK LAMAR section.80
SAIGON the greatest story never told
    PHONTE charity starts at home
    ELZHI elmatic
    BIG KRIT return of 4eva
    AB-SOUL longterm mentality
    JON CONNOR season 2
    J. COLE cole world: the sideline story
MURS love and rockets vol. 1

  142. You fucking Maroons, this is SHAKE’s LIST,don’t tell HIM what HE should put on HIS list!!!,this shit is NOT rocket science! You want to make your own list feel free,it’s why we have freedom but STFU about what he didn’t put on HIS list. On a much lighter note,I’m still waiting on at least ONE 2Dopeboyz sticker Shake,I been here long enough you bastard lol

  143. Overall Music was just great this year (Well Internet music) So I hope 2012 got some more dope and creative stuff. Dope List 2DBZ and a lot of Mixtapes these days can be considered Albums. Artists just want to get the music is out there.

  144. cmon man frank ocean shit sound like a mixtape & you got the nerve to put it in the album section? nothin about it sounds like a album.poor quality & everything. Then you put weeknd project in mixtape with all oringnal beats?why not ep?all 3 of his projects sound like albums especially compared to frank ocean who jacked a couple people beats thats why he couldnt put it in stores.

  145. ^^ is it THAT big of a deal though? music is music. who cares what i labelled it.

  146. “2dbz has NEVER succumb to payola for ANYTHING.” -Shake

Lmao, yea right! Stop it five!

  147. take care, section 80, camp.

  148. Top 5 Albums

    1.Drake-Take Care
    2.Big Krit-ReturnOf4eva
    3.Kendrick Lamar-Section80
4.Dom Kennedy- From the Westside, With Love Il
    5.Phonte-Charity Starts At Home
    ——————————————————————

    Top 5 Mixtapes

    1.Schoolboy Q-Setbacks

    ——————————————————————

    Top 3 EPs

    1.Weeknd-HOB
    2.Weeknd-Thursday
    3.Weeknd-EOS

  149. The Soul Tape should be in the top 10 mixtapes and 103, The Sideline Story, & Take Care should be in top 10 albums without a question

  150. the soul tape was horrible. kill yourself

  151. Fabs the soul tape wasn’t on some super lyrical shit but to say it wasn’t a good mixtape is reaching.

Anyway In my opinion the best project of 2011 was Section 80. I feel as if the others were great too but I enjoyed section 80 more. Big ups to the bull J.cole too. He had a solid album,#1 on billboard and gold. Hopefully his second album has that more hunger feel back tho.

Drakes Take Care was a very good album. It was far better than his 1st. Drake lacks subject matter tho and that makes his shit sound repetitive.

WTT was good for what it was. If you wanted the blueprint Hov or College Dropout Ye then then this album wasn’t for you. However Hov and Ye’s flow on this album were crack and the production was top not notch (especially “New Day” from RZA).

  152. Dear 2DB,

Bang x 3 was a damn MIXTAPE! How the fuck “PL3DGE” isn’t in the top ten albums of the year (it’s AOY) is BLASPHEMY!

    Sincerely,

    Hip Hop Management

  153. If you slept on GSNT, then you ain’t a hip hop fan. Everything else was just fighting for 2nd place this year.

  154. “That’s Life 2″ and “God in the Building 2″ > GSNT. I rock wit Saigon….huge supporter of music…..but nothing tops PL3DGE this year.

  155. Got Damn this is a good list. This is my first year as a member of the extended 2Dopeboyz family, but it has quickly become my favorite site. You guys have opened my eyes to so much music. Mad props, much love, big ups. Keep up the hard work, and best of luck in 2012.

    Happy New Year dudes

  156. fabulous is the definition of mediocrity. dude hasnt made a note worthy contribution to hip hop since Breathe. the soul mixtape isnt even top 20 mixtape material.

  162. Besides it being purely a matter of opinion, I feel there’s a deeper, darker reason to why Aubrey’s ass isn’t on here. Like really, he did like half of Take Care with The Weeknd and all of that nigga’s shit is on here. Is Big Sean ass even here? I’m actually okay with that. Oh, does this have something to do with Luda? His shit’s not on here either, but it also wasn’t that good. I don’t really give a fuck. Y’all niggas, jus keep doing what you want. I’m ambivalent to the matter.

  163. Its amazing how upset and butt hurt people tend to get when scrutinizing someones opinion. It’s opinion, if you don’t agree with it then it’s your liberty to do so. It really isn’t like anyone made you come to the site.

  164. My Opinion, No Order
    Jay-Z/Kanye West- Watch the Throne
    J. Cole- Cole World, The Sideline Story
    Drake- Take Care
    Curren$y/Alchemist- Covert Coup
    Stalley- Lincoln Way Nights

    Big K.R.I.T- Return of 4Eva
    Kendrick Lamar- Section 80
    The Weeknd- House of Balloons
    The Weeknd- Thursday
    Honorable Mentions
STS, Jhene Aiko, XV (Zero Heroes), Frank Ocean, Big Sean

  165. 2DopeBoyz, good list no complaints except for WTT. I just couldn’t stomach the lyrical aspect of the album, with the exception of about 6 bangers. I think alot of people are giving WTT a pass because its Jay & Ye.

    HAVE YOU HEARD:
    Cunninlynguists-Oneirology
    Doomtree-No Kings
    Kooley High-David Thompson
    Median-The Sender

P.S. Why do we label self-released albums as mixtapes if all the material (lyrics, beats) are original. Why can’t it just be a self-released LP without the help of a major label, who is not going to do anything but screw up the talent..check Lasers, Cole World, Rolling Papers.

  166. I agree with this but Section.80 should be on the lists too

  167. -_______- I see it now, my spologies

  168. ASHER ROTH – PABST & JAZZ GREATEST PROJECT OF THE YEAR

  172. Interesting…I searched for Lloyd Banks’ name on this page and not one return… nobody appreciated Cold Corner 2 mixtape? One of the best mixtapes i’ve ever heard to be honest… Liking the list thats up, definitely kendrick and Big Krit my two new favorite artists this year. Of course Roots Undun, instant classic and Watch the Throne had some bangers. Good year, cant wait to see whats coming though as this is gonna be a big year…Nas album, Slaughterhouse, Good Music, cant wait.
