I saw Dallas Penn and knew this had to be one of those lame ass figurine videos. Love the song, but cmon son at least switch it up every now and then.
Good lookin’ out Dopehaus
Wasn’t that Ghostface… I think that you guys have the wrong artist.
^^ I think you just crawled from under a rock… sun been around a couple years now, that comparison is played
for real..cmon epic get with it!
Man this shit is fucking horrible. Give a kid on the come up a chance to direct and produce if your just going to throw away video ops, do something instead of this trash.
WACK
dallas penn is really wack. action bronson spits that fire tho.
Rec,
Why don’t YOU make a video then? Anybody who wants to do something can do it but most people are cowards when it comes to stepping outside of the comfort zone and would rather just comment on blogs than actually do something to promote the shit they like.
I’m sure there are artists who would love for you to take some of your time to do something to promote them to your friends. Why don’t you do something? It can’t be as wack as my shit?
As much as I dig the song, thumb down on the video…
@Dallas Penn
“Rec” never pretended to be a director. You did. This is absolutely pathetic, much worse than damn near every fan-made video on youtube, and I can only hope other artists learn from Action Bronson and Statik Selektah’s mistake. Get a day job, you’re gonna need it.
@Ape,
No one commissions me to make a video. I just do it. And I will keep doing it because I enjoy it. The fact that anyone thinks their opinion of something is valuable is the same motivation I have for making a video. You don’t like it? Good for you. If all you have to give people is your opinion via a blog comment then the earth would be better off without your carbon footprint.
Direct a video for yourself. All you need is a camera and a YouTube account. I’m talking to 2200 people on the regular and even lazy lames like you too. I’m truly sorry you don’t care for the video but why don’t you watch it a few more times for me anyhoo? LOL
What a ridiculous argument. Have you gotten a bad meal at a restaurant before? Of course. Did it make you want to be a chef? Of course not. Nobody’s interested in directing videos, you fucking idiot. We’re barely interested enough to watch them, which is exactly why it’s so annoying when they’re this terrible.
It is good to know that you didn’t get paid for this trash, tho. Restores just a little bit of balance to the universe.
@Dallas Penn
I didn’t realize that this was, for all intents and purposes, unofficial. In that case, I didn’t mean to be a dick, and I wouldn’t have criticized your hobby if I realized that’s what it was. The scenario as I walked in on it appeared to be that a director got paid to make a video, filmed his action figures posing instead, and then popped up and started talking shit to the people who felt like it was kinda some bullshit. You should really see about getting 2dopeboyz to mark this “unofficial” or “fan-made”, because I think that’s the source of most people’s frustration.
^ LOLOL to universal balance
You have to know of DP first to understand why he makes these videos. He’s just a fan of everything pop culture like toys,comics,clothes,music. and in these videos he just takes a good track of the moment and pairs them with toys that look like the artist. It’s that simple, I don’t think he’s trying to be a director or anything of that sort.
Ape,
I’m not sure who would watch this video and NOT know it was fanmade, but even still I don’t mind the criticism or the comments. People see music (mostly via YouTube) before they hear it and my hope is that people who watch this clip will click on others with the same artists or similar themes.
Most internets are spoiled to the point that all the free content they devour has to also have high production values. Record labels don’t even want to pay for videos any longer since everyone just steals music (myself included)
I imagine that the label which released the Action x Statik project also feels the same way I do about this track and they might put their budget towards producing a video which will satisfy your artistic tastes. Did you also voice your opinion by buying the Well Done album?
The video is dope…smh @ you uppity ass muthafuckas…
@hrsdh,
I still want to be considered a director tho’. Or maybe a producer. LOL
I like that Dallas was on here to defend himself too. I personally dig this shit. Keep doing you shit bro.
