These dudes didn’t even come to a conclusion smh. But it was clearly I’m On One, summer banger, played in clubs all over america, canada and europe. Otis and N*s In Paris were big songs, not big singles, they weren’t played in clubs and on the radio worldwide… and Meek mill’s single is no where near as bag as I’m On One.
Green Goblin said this on December 23rd, 2011 at 11:01 pm

I usually enjoy the debate series but after watching the Album of the Year and Song of the Year videos, I am exhausted. I really do not understand why a group of grown men and women have to scream above the next person to share their opinion, and after giving such, stand tough like they just blessed the room with some type of divine revelation.
Last suggestion: please define the criteria for finding ‘Song of the Year’

watching this video just made me dumber…Like oh yeah niggas in paris should be song of the year cause they took the doors off a maybach in the video and they performed it at victoria secrect show. What the fuck kind of reasoning is that..
deeznuts said this on December 24th, 2011 at 2:40 am
I hated every single song on that list. I think “Look At Me Now” was the biggest single on that list because:
1. It had the most crossover appeal that actually sounded like a hip-hop/rap record, unlike Ninjas In Paris
2. Along with Deuces, it helped resurrect Chris Brown’s career
3. It reminded the young people who the fuck Busta Rhymes is & what he can do with 16 bars
4. This song came out in January/February & niggas still sing this shit til this day.
If anyone else besides me noticed, they’re fighting hard for Niggas In Paris & Otis. They’re only doing this because New York niggas look at Jay-Z like he’s God #FACT
HoesOnMyDickCuzILookLikeTimTebow......... I Tebowed That Hoe said this on December 24th, 2011 at 2:49 am
Otis had the doors taken off of the Maybach, not Ni**as in Paris. Also, I’m on one is definitely NOT song of the year. If you go by the clubs, u could even say Dance (A$$) and No Hands by far are better than Look At Me Now in the clubs. You take about restarting careers, Wale and Big Sean would not HAVE a mainstream career without those songs.

Like seriously they should stop calling these list “The best of the year” and just call them “The most popular songs/albums of the year” cause that all this shit ever boils down to.
W T F ? said this on December 24th, 2011 at 3:09 am
When you listen to them debate and argue over what “song” was the best it gets more and more obvious that it´s best CLUB song of the year, maybe best SINGLE of the year, but there´s no way in hell that any of those songs are even close to a top 50. Not even Niggas in Paris or Otis (though both are dope).

swfewfgw said this on December 24th, 2011 at 6:24 pm
@master lee and @fresher alot of people on this blog and outside this blog bring up kendrick and the less known artists/songs cause clearly the criteria that they base a song being song of the year are completely different from the criteria that jumpoff base a song being song of the year
Jumpoff – the mainstream songs that got the most play on radio/tv, that got played in the club and that were on the billboard top 40 charts the longest.
Everyone else in & outside this blog – the overrall quality of the song in terms of the lyrics, subject matter, beat and replay value.
Get the picture?
If i were to pick a song out of their list based on their view of a song being the best of the year and had the most spins its niggas in paris for me
However, if the criteria is based on HOW good the actual song is then i would say none of the songs on their list and would go with dreamin or the vent as my personal picks
