During a convo with XXL, Kendrick Lamar reveals that both Just Blaze and Pete Rock will be featured on his yet-to-be-titled debut album. Check the blockquote below for his thoughts on the track with Just.
We got some shit. It’s city-based for sure. It’s classic. It’s history-making shit. It’s Just Blaze, a nigga I been listening to since I was 13 when I started rhyming, listening to Jay and all those Rocafella albums.
He also gives an update on the joint project he’s got in the pipeline with J. Cole.
We’re still trying to formulate it and sit down in a neutral zone, where either one of us is moving and doing shows, interviews and press all the time. We want to lock ourselves in the studio and make it right. We got songs where we can actually formulate something, but we want it to be right.
