The production team behind one of my favorite joints off Wale’s Attention Deficit and the title track off Skeme’s latest project have now dropped their mixtape. As the tracklist (shown after the jump) shows, features range from the likes of Murs, Skeme, Casey Veggies, Paul Wall, Sunni Colon, Tunji and more. Tracklist and link down bottom.

  1. I really hope this whole “hollywood actor’s name in the album title” shit stops already. I wasn’t fond of this idea since the first FELT album dropped.

  2. Why use an actor name? I don’t get it.

  3. I love this project and that Lucky Seven is on it! Great flows!!!

  4. good to see some new Aztek Escobar

  5. wack wack wack concept.

  6. you guys are worthless haters

  7. ^ lol haters? whatever makes you feel better. grow up and learn to take criticism without having to resort to calling everybody a hater like some teenage girl. the concept of the album is just plain weird. now go cry yourself to sleep

  8. Concept may seem weird but the music here is pretty good.

  9. I’m not downloading on the strength of the concept. what is this even about? why would be interested in a rap cd about edward norton. its just – weird. that’s not hate. they just don’t sell their music very well.

  10. Maybe you should just listen to the music? Isn’t that what really matters?

  11. Sure the music matters. but good luck convincing people to listen to your album about edward norton. just dont start calling people haters when they give you the side eye.

  12. This mixtape is tough. The best track is number 10. The dude Lucky Seven kills the first verse of Break Bread. I found out he got a website too…HowHoodUniversity.Com…he’s the next best thing.

  13. Edward Norton? Why? sorry not checking for this. The same way i wont buy an album called “im gay” some things just dont appeal. I’ll watch an edward norton film no doubt. But a rap cd ? ill pass

  14. if you’ve watched ed norton’s movies you would know they sampled from the different films he has been in. “edward norton lp.”

  15. Here’s a quick explanation… If you are an Edward Norton fan (as we obviously are), then you should be familiar with the types of characters he portrays. There’s a decent range but he damn near always says some prolific, life changing shit at one point in the movie. We sampled our favorite quotes and paired up Ed’s words to live by with songs that we’ve recorded with a fuck ton of awesome artists. If you think that’s lame then you probably shouldn’t download. If you’re curious as to how well the quotes fit with the songs? Download. We kept most of the interludes separate from the songs so you can still listen to the music without Ed if you like. Cheers

  16. Some peps are real close minded. What you consider weird some consider art.

  17. Randy — I didn’t have anything to do with the lp, so I have nothing to “take.” But don’t get confused and think every dumbass thing you say, just by virtue of its negativity, automatically becomes legitimate artistic “criticism” that deserves respect. If you want to offer “criticism” of a rap album you might consider mentioning the music, or at least listening to it. Concept? Ok sure, that’s a legitimate part of the whole package. But what do you think this is, a marketing blog? Are you an ad man? Get outta here.

  18. @kyle sounds like you’re catching feelings. no one is criticizing the music, he acknowledged that he didnt listen to it, because the artists aren’t selling the music well. There’s nothing closed-minding about going to a music store and skipping over a cd that is conceptually bizarre and borderline weird. Why would anybody want to pick up a cd about edward norton? for someone who has never heard of the group its a pretty reasonable reaction to take a pass on that. he’s not criticizing the music so you really have nothing to be mad or a smartass about. the tape is very niche, so don’t be so defensive cause people dont want to listen to a rap cd called “edward norton”.

  19. It’s really tough for me to pick my favorite song, but for the sake of it I will — track 12, “ONE” with Tunji and Murs. I challenge any man to turn the volume up on that track and then run his mouth about the title of the LP. I dare you. Same for Break Bread, Nightcrawler, Tunking Fork, tu sabes. They’re not even “selling” anything here so stop using that phrase. It’s a free album. It’s for the sake of good music. And the tracks are not “about” Edward Norton. You don’t know what you’re talking about. And that’s the essence of my point — the difference between a hater and a critic is that the latter has something intelligent to say. You sir are the former.

  20. ^you need to relax. this album didnt appeal to him at face value so he didnt listen to it. we all do it with products we’re not familiar with. we make judgment calls based on appearence. there’s no other way. clearly that offended you on a deep level. maybe youre friends with then and posing as a listener, i dont know. but passing on a rappers mixtape which doesnt catch your attention at face value doesnt make me or anyone else a hater or stupid. get the fuck over it.

  21. Maybe you should try listening to the album first. I hate people who refuse to try something before shitting on it. The cut is fantastic and the fact that you’ll be missing out because you dont like the concept makes you look ignorant to any real hip-hop head. this reminds me of when i was trying to get all my friends to check out Kid Cudi and Gambino back in the day.

  22. dope beat on the Intro…wish they would’ve used that beat.

Solid LP, other than “One” this is a pretty top heavy album.

  23. I agree, the concept is wack and so are all the rappers on it. But thats me, Im just a fuckin hater I know.

  24. FREETSHRT

  25. 58. Stop calling everything a concept album.
    65. Invest in better artwork and packaging.

  26. You forgot
    16. Stop leaking entire albums song by song.
    22. Stop cluttering albums with corny skits, unless you’re Prince Paul.

Never thought we’d be accused of contributing to hip hop’s demise… Ah well, I’ll take 96 out of 100 on random dude’s “save hip hop” list. Thanks for the input Jerry, sorry you don’t like our music.

  27. I fuck with this.
    Sleepwalkers >>>
    LA >>>
    American History X >>>

  28. if you dislike something before listening, then yes, you are a hater. this had a concept, so its a valid concept album. lazy ass people would rather write it off as weird than take 40 seconds to realize how straightforward the idea is…

  29. @ robertTHEalien stop confusing having no interest in listening to somthing with disliking it with listening. I dont dislike the music… you can’t seem to grasp or accept that the album just did not appeal to people as a concept. You’re so sensitive. You sound like the type of dude who will call a girl a hater because she’s just not attracted to you physically. I havent read people hating on the music… just the shitty concept which prevented them for listening to the album. that’s your fault. Next time don’t gift rap your music in a bag of shit and maybe people will actually listen. Instead of being overly defensive just take the fucking advice. Stop ethering your music with wack ass concepts.

  30. @Arhonda Duly noted, sorry we couldn’t persuade you to press play based on the concept alone. Maybe next project we’ll have a concept that’s not a bag of shit in your eyes. And while I do think you will miss out on a lot of cool shit if you continue to judge books by their cover, I respect your right to do so. Hope you had a good holiday and thanks for the input
