  8. @Dutchy: He is called Saint Nicholas (Sint Nikolaas) from Spain and not Santaclaus (Kerstman). Dutch ppl also celebrate Santaclaus on december 25th. Saint Nicholas comes to Holland on the 5th of december and in Belgium on december 6th. Get your facts right

  11. @ Dutchy .. Sinterklaus is the same .. and zwarte piet and pedro negro are the same guy .. i.e. “black pete” … he is the guy that gives you coal (instead of gifts) if you are not good. Rassy’s whole point is that the Christmas Holiday is a hodge podge of a bunch of stuff taken from other cultures, not a Christian holiday about the birth of Christ. And now even more its just a “holiday” used to get people to spend money.
