Talib Kweli – Distractions (prod. Oh No)

Here’s the first leak off Talib’s upcoming 6th solo album, Prisoner of Conscious slated for a 2012 release. With a mass consciousness awakening manifesting across the World, this is a much needed song – to awaken those still distracted by politricks in our government as well as what the media is portraying and planting into the sheepish minds of those still asleep.

  3. Remind me again when 2dopeboyz became a 5 percenter site? Oh yeah, when they let JES on board. Dope song, but enough with the self righteous rants

  4. DOPE.

  5. Kweli used to be a Five-Percenter (member of The Nation of Gods and Earths), which had an influence on him earlier in his life and continues to do so. –>However, he no longer subscribes to any particular religion.<– *woohoo!

  8. Sounds dope. Hopefully this album is better than that average-ass Gutter Rainbows album

  9. damn what a song he killed every line

  10. Talib is one of tbe dopest out there. He never gets any love. He’s the Paul Millsap of rap

  11. Wait a minute, did you just say that Paul Millsap is “one of the dopest out there”? Or did you mean to say that Millsap is one of the most dopey out there. Is Talib is Paul Millsap, who is Mos Def/Yasiin Bey, Mehmet Okur? Come on now. If anything Talib Kweli is Danny Granger, putting up numbers year after year without recognition, and Mos Def is Dorell Wright, just able to do anything on a basketball court. Any by this logic Gucci Mane is fat Eddie Curry.

  12. this song blew my mind! perfection!
