I’ve gotten so much bad music over the last week or so (I guess they’re really tryna make that final quarter rush), but two particular pieces of aural trash has stood out to me (for better or worse) the most. One of those things is on this list; take a guess which one over at TheWellVersed.

Misc.

WTF is Gucci thinking?
The one with Birdman and Lilwayne had its flaws, but for its time it presented well. Certainly not one of the worst 10. Lil wayne actually followed up lyrically to that album much like Carter 2.
Like Father, Like Son wasn’t terrible though, it was DOPE.
gucci and v nasty… terrible..gucci lost his mind
…In honor of Steve Jobs Death http://goo.gl/g84kM Apple giving away iPads 4 next 24hrs only.. I GOT 2 LOL

Dude….. WTF is that. Collision Course was fucking dope as hell still is. Basically the best Mashups. Shinoda and Jay producing it was sick. Whoever made this list is retarded. And how can they even put Mac & Dev go to HS on here? It’s not even fucking out yet! Stupid ass list. Also V-Nasty is Kreayshawn’s friend that’s like in jail or some shit…. not Kreayshawn….Idiot….
Jay-Z & Linkin Park – Collision Course ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
What wasn’t Dope about this ?
like father like son defintely didnt deserve to be on this list, how can they list the snoop and wiz projct when it hasnt dropped yet? is that v nasty and gucci mixtape even out either?? (obiously the last one i mentioned is bound to be trash but still) this list is bullshit
i see so many people act like gucci made a mistake working with v-nasty.
you guys gotta realize gucci = vnasty. they both lames. don’t act like gucci is some talented artist and vnasty is bringing him down.
they work together because they on the same level, bottom of the barrel.
ehhh this List is bull shit…
Like Father Like Son was pretty Dope…Some of the best wayne lyrics of all time…
Jesus what a terrible list, like seriously. This really just came off as haters who didn’t like these artists/albums for reasons other than the music itself. You can tell whoever wrote this didn’t even listen to the new Wiz and Snoop album, because Wiz was back on his pre Rolling Papers style on this, yet he said he wasn’t. Come on now, this was unprofessional as fuck. Like Father Like Son being on this list is just appalling by the way,
STINKMEANER nobodys saying Gucci is nice lyrically but you would think someone who collabed with Usher, Mirah Carey, Black Eyed Peas, Wayne, Kendrick, Wale, Ludacris, Jeezy, Ross, Bun B, Nicki Minaj, etc. would be able to find someone, anyone, better than V-Nasty to put out a full project with…
Lmfao they put banging on wax on there… That was a dope album
What a strange list…That Collision Course shit was pretty dope though. Never heard of the Bloods & Crips CD, what’s that all about? Seemed like a weird ass concept but the songs I found on youtube weren’t too bad.
My balls smell like pickle juice and funky feet..my penis smells like must and the meat section of supermarkets..me explaining how my genitalia smells symbolizes how bad these collabs were..these collabs are bad like the smell of my cock n balls..feel free to take a whiff and know to not create music that smells like my cock n balls…peace
This list is a fail, I fux with half the albums on here smh, like father like son wasn’t wack even with birdman and he sucks.
disagree with the jay/linking collabo. done very well
@Druggid
Banging on wax was made to get those niggas off the street and to “bang on wax” instead and make money together. They were indeed real.gang members
What a shitty list. Collision Course was DOPE, it worked brilliantly. The Wayne + Baby album wasn’t that bad at all, I could tolerate Weezy on that shit. The new Snoop + Wiz album is actually pretty good, def. some nice tracks on that. There’s a couple of others on there that are aight too.
Whoever made that list is a dumbass.
Whoever put this together is a hater.
Birdman is always shitty but Wayne was actually good on like father like son, and Birdman was tolerable. Mac & Devin isn’t bad, I would never call it one of the most awful projects. And what the hell was wrong with Collision Course?
Not only a useless list, but an inaccurate & shitty one at that
Ferrari Boyz >>>>>>> this list is whack. The Snoop x Wiz Shit is dope so far.
yall are funny. i agree with everything on the list. and btw, like father like son signified the downfall of lil weezles music IMO. i couldnt tolerate anything post C2. and people tend to overlook jayz 3 huge fails in the LP collab and the Kells collabs. how can you be a goat with those on the list?
^^^ because what you call a failure, Jayz and R Kelly and Linkin Parks fan base calls a success.
@marty, your right. those projects are so dope! i hear people listening to them alllll the time! its like people who love r.kelley and LP talk about it every day!
Jay-Z x LP was dope fuck you mean.
Hell Nah like father like son was Dope!!
Ummm…Collision Course was wack to the 10th power…and this is coming from a BIG Linkin Park fan.
^^thank you. did jay even give them an exclusive verse on that project? someone remind me. that was a simpleton sell.
How you gonna say that the Lp project was wack when its only like 6 songs and they all are remixes of LP songs? The shit makes no sense cause they whole Cd was based on one show they was gonna do just for one night and they were all some of they biggest songs, any real LP fan knows that. Its like the arguments people make just make no sense and even the R kelly shit. Its like play one of them joints for a R Kelly fan and they be on that shit tough so its like get real people. If you gonna complain about Jayz or any artist period then have a real problem not some bs.
For example, I still think Lil Wayne is wack as hell these days but to say the Father Like Son shit was wack really dont make sense. It aint the best cd but it aint wack either.
@tompetty, one last thing, the Best of Both Worlds and Unfinished Business ( the songs that didnt make the first album ) was always a weird situation because if you remember back then Jay and R Kelly were beefing with each other. Jay was saying shit like he kicked him off tour and he didnt even wanna be in the same building with him. And Kelly was talking shit saying he wasnt performing no songs from that album anymore. They starting beefing from just 4 days after the release of Best of Both Worlds ( because of some kinda fight with Kelly and Ty Ty ) all the way to the first week of The Black Album when they just squashed they beef so they could perform together at Madison Square Garden one last time because Jay was talking retiring. If you recall all the problems that R kelly had at the time with Jayz, Def jam & his own label, and the media cause of the sextape scandal its good reasons why those albums didnt quite do as well as they could have. Just sayin
Like Father, Like Son was that shit. fuck this list.
marty, this is the reason why i try not to square off with you. one person says one thing (jayz not the goat) and you write an essay in response. respectfully speaking, what the fuck am i supposed to say to that? well, here it goes. you sound like a loser. as in your argument is from a losers mentality. when you take a loss you take a loss. it doesnt matter how you lost because at the end of the day you take an L. pressing up those projects and releasing them with their names on it places the stamp of their discography ontop. all three projects were subpar. and thats forever. word is bond. -3
The point was that it was an album full of REMIXES. Who wants to listen to an album FULL OF REMIXES?! The reviews for the album and the overall fan reaction says it all. CC was a bad album and, again, this is coming from someone who frequents Linkin Park concerts.
Ok so if he took a loss even though all three of those albums are platinum, how does that effect his overall career achievements? Looks like he’s still very much so on fire at this point in most peoples opinion so now what. There is no such thing as having a career for more then a decade and not taking some kind of loss. Cause even if you do everything perfectly people will still find something about it to nitpick at. Im saying overall from 1996 – 2011 you’ll be hard pressed to find another rapper that did it better. Even if you completely hate everything about Jayz all you have to do his look at his record and use your common sense and you should agree.
Pauly you aint no Linkin Park fan cause thats like saying your a huge fan of something but hate it when one of the greatest artist of all time do a collab cd with them and that logic would make no sense. Every Linkin Park fan who aint a dumbass knew what they were buying before they bought it and if your a true fan of theres then how the fuck you gonna be mad at them doing that cd with Jayz of all people? COMEONSON. What other rap collab album can you get from Linkin Park since you hate that one so much? Exactly so stop frontin you aint no fan of theirs.
That Gucci And Waka Flocka Tape shouldnt Be on The Worst Collaboration List. Them two are horrible artist. they fit perfect together =) the bloods and cribs shit is an album that shouldnt be on here let alone herd of. its about to be 2012, are niggas still banging?
The fuck? It was a BAD ALBUM. I would have hated it if BUN B OF ALL PEOPLE HAD DONE IT WITH THEM. Every fellow LP fan that I know ADMITS that that album is shitty. I’m a true fan, because unlike YOU, I can admit when my artist/bands do cheesy, lame or corny shit.
But I’m not about to prove myself to you about how I know about Chester’s group.
Good nite, everyone.
Ill tell you what, play The Best of Both worlds for somebody and see how fast it takes for them to start remembering lyrics and saying how they used to like it cause after Jay and R kelly made Fiesta it was like people demanded that album and when they performed those songs on the Black Album movie you can see people obviously enjoyed those songs and you yourself know some of the songs I bet. @ Pauly Linkin Park have a specific sound and their fans dont give a fuck how they get it just as long as they get it and probably less then ten percent of they fans got something negative to say about that album cause it aint even a album. Its a EP that people bought for the DVD inside you fucking idiot but they still like the cd. Why dont you ask one of your corny friends about a song from BME that aint a single and see how fast they give you a look like they dont know what your talking about. LMAO cause all three of those Jayz cds from years ago are still ten times better then the bullshit that is BME.
And like I said earlier this week, im done with the whole Jayz argument so theres really no reason to bring up Jayz to me anymore because obviously my opinion aint gonna change and whatever you do dont bring up these two mothafuckas ever again when talking about Jay or Nas or any super MC because these two are just not as dope as they used to be period. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOnjsOr0-4Y
Marty mcFly> Tompetty
jayz discography isnt that dope imo. reasonable doubt, the blueprint, and the black album are the ill ones. alllll the others are not dope. they have gems on them that make for a good compilation disc, but the albums themselves are not classic. so i guess a 3 in 16 ratio is good enough for you. but i choose not to decode whos the greatest by numbers alone. not to mention jayz originality is far from unique, hes made a career off riding other peoples flows. from big L and camp lo to when he made the switch to his new scheme and started taking from beans and cam and free. to now riding kanyes wave of relevance.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqScH2CfYTg
he is not the goat breh. maybe numbers wise, but i could easily argue doom > or mos def has the most talent. or black thought has the cadence. or big pun had the lyrics or pac had the passion nas has the wisdom…ect. ect. ect. if you narrow it down to numbers your own formula will surely dissapoint you. lil wayne will pass him with his next project collab x justin beiber. which will be dope because his fanbase says so (right?)
and fuck your fan club.
McDonald’s has sold the most hamburgers world wide but their burgers are shit on a bun. However, according to marty mcfly, McDonald’s would therefore be the best burger joint in the world since they’ve sold the most and McDonald’s is a globally recognized brand.
Eat a burger marty mcfly, for real. Jay Z will never read your posts or support you monitarily by defending him like the blog-warrior minion you are.
@tompetty, 12 outta 16 of Jays albums are dope and obviously well above average. 5 of them are classic, Biggie and Jay were friends for real not just two rappers that knew each other so Jay aint biting Bigs flow, he’s keep Bigs name alive. Both Biggie and Big L thought Jayz was one of the nicest rappers when they were alive. Doom and Camp lo are not better then Jayz and Mos Def, Black thought, Nas, and Pun and even Pac would all say Jay is dope. So just stop the bullshit.
@Corez Kennedy, Lets just agree to disagree cause if you take away all of Jays success and all you had was his songs and the lyrics to them on paper you would clearly see that when I say he’s the GOAT, 99% of why I say that is because of BARS !!!!!!!!!!!!
marty, your full of gas. biggie and jay were not good friends… they had a mutual friend who got biggie on reasonable doubt. they didnt even record brooklyns finest at the same time. i never said jay isnt dope so lets clean your mouth out a little bit. i never said camp lo was better either, but he DEFinitely used their format for the first 8 years of his career. 5 classic albums for jay? give me a break, blueprint barely makes the classic list. doom has a hundred times more originality than jay and his team could ever create. now lets get back to the ORIGINAL topic on hand. BOTH kells collabs were wack, period. bad beats and bad songs. i bet if i played them at a party people wouldnt know ONE song besides fiesta…and thats only because kells repeated that word over and over and over and over again. the linkin park “mix” was a shitty excuse of two genres crossing without putting any real thought or effort into it. it was created to sell not to innovate. a gimmick for kids to fork out there money as if they were buying anything more than a mix cd.
i cant even have a conversation with you because you rant for days/misread and misquote everything. your just like jay tho. quantity over quality.
1ST of all not only were Big and Jay friends, they were very close friends that spent alot of time with each other before Big died. Jay also personally picked Big up and went to shows with him and Big himself has said they were good friends. Jay has also said when Big died that was one of the most hurtful experiences of his life because to him Big was not just another rapper it was somebody who spent alot of time with at his home and vice versa. 2nd Jay did not bite Camp lo just because he used one of their beats plus their whole style and rhyme scheme are literally completely different in almost every way possible. You also said Jay is biting Freeway and Camron which is really some of the dumbest shit ive ever heard in my life. Freeway? Really? Freeway and Cam? Killa too now? Please man just STFU. 3RD if anybody doesnt think that RD, IN MY LIFETIME, BP1, THE BLACK ALBUM AND AMERICAN GANGSTER ARNT CLASSIC. Then its something wrong with you not those albums. The two albums mostly in question are In My Lifetime and American Gangster. First with In My Lifetime, how many examples of excellence do you need on one album? and lets all keep in mind that the year was 1997… A million and One Questions ( Dj FUCKING Premier BTW ), The City is mine, Imaginary Player, Streets is Watching, Friend or Foe ( Premo again ), Lucky Me, Who Wit Wit, Rap Game/ Crack Game, Where im From, You must Love Me. This is at that height of the Puff Daddy commercialized era, now look how dope this shit is. Every real hip hop head in america at this time was saying that they were starting to realize Jay was super nice at this point and you know it. Now American Gangster – How much is american culture obsessed with gangster culture? thats one, now how many albums give you a full story from beginning to end about the circumstances that create a gangster? Thats two now for any fan of gangster rap this album is the pinnacle of true gangster music with a explanation behind it and you all know it. Give me an album from 2000 – 2010 that explains the gangster life style from beginning to end with more detail. And when I say beginning to end im talking about from the first song the rapper portrays a broke kid coming up in the streets and by the end of the album he has made it out but has experienced almost all the ups and downs of being a gangster. From violence to gangster politics and codes to poverty to the absence of a proper family structure to being on the run to balling to getting locked up to getting back on your feet? And does it all with extreme attention to detail and a chain of events that actually make sense. From 2000 – 2010 what album did that better then American Gangster? Yeah we know its based around the movie but Denzel aint rappin, Jay is. Now BP1 is classic and you know it because when the sound of commercialized hip hop was the dominating sound. Jay did mostly sample based songs and put the attention back on more focused and well round purist hip hop. Doom is not hundred times more original then Jayz because if that was the case then Doom would be bigger then Michael Jackson and we all know he has never in his life ever had a big record. He had some cool underground shit but he is no where close to Jayz. Now again even if you say his collab albums werent good that doesnt even leave a scratch on his overall artistry because he’s done way to much fool. The purpose of those albums was to open up another lane but people like you are to stupid to realize that until a bunch of rappers do collab albums with singers. When that album came out, trust me homie people knew them songs. Just stop cause now your just saying anything and sounding like you never heard a Jayz album because
1996: Reasonable Doubt – Classic
1997: In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 – Classic
1998: Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life
1999: Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter
2000: The Dynasty: Roc La Familia
2001: The Blueprint – Classic
2002: The Blueprint2: The Gift & The Curse
2003: The Black Album – Classic
2006: Kingdom Come
2007: American Gangster – Classic
2009: The Blueprint 3
All of these albums contain some level of artistic greatness on them and each one of these albums have songs that have artistic integrity in regards to the culture and each one of these albums contain songs that make powerful statements about real life situations. So I say its way more then 3 dope albums outta 16 you fucking dumbass. If you dont believe those albums are classic then make your own list of requirements for having a classic and then make it so hard to pass that Illmatic barely makes it in and then run your check list pass the material on these albums and look at how many requirements on your list does thes 5 albums have on them. HELLO
Lastly Jay has every right to hold it down for Big because that was his friend. They called themselves the Commission for heavens sake and if Big is happy for anybody in rap right now it be Jayz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8f_2qGWkTWE
Now just be quiet because every time try to talk down about Jayz artistry you just make yourself look like a fucking hater.
