LA Residents: The good folks over at Stones Throw are gearing up to celebrate 15 years of thoroughness. It all goes down at The Exchange in Los Angeles on Dec. 22nd, with Mayer Hawthorne, MED, PBW, Dam-Funk, Madlib, Low Key and more. Ill, right? So, how do you win? Simple: Name as many aliases of Madlib as you can off the top of your head in the c-section below with your legit email (not in the comment itself, unless you want some random spam bot flooding your inbox for the next 50-11 years) and we will randomly choose a winner this Tuesday.
Those outside the LA area: Stones Throw isn’t trying to leave the rest of the World out. We’ve teamed up with Stones Throw to give you the opportunity to win 15 years of Stones Throw albums. As in, the winner will receive one album for every year Stones Throw has been around. 15 albums. That’s a great deal, right? This would include albums by Jaylib, MED, Madvillian, Dilla, Guilty Simpson, Aloe Blacc, The Stepkids and so much more. For this contest, all you need to do is email 2dopestonesthrowcontest[at]gmail[dot]com the names of the members of the production unit The Ummah as well as at least three songs they’ve produced collectively. Google is your best friend. We’ll choose a winner Tuesday as well.
UPDATE: Contest has officially ended. The winner of the 15 Year Anniversary Party tickets is Luis Ramos. The winner for the 15 Stones Throw albums is DJ Proof. I or someone from Stones Throw will be emailing the both of you for shipping info. Thank you to all who participated. Look out for more contests / giveaways in the future!
