The one-two punch combo that is MC Rashad & producer Confidence (and my personal pick for the (2)dope Music Submissions Take 2) have finally released their debut LP, The Element of Surprise. I’ll be completely honest here, I rarely listen to Rap these days, most of my “music time” is relegated to Jazz, Soul and Funk. But this is definitely one album that gets steady burn, along with anything by Hasan Salaam and Rasheed Chappell. Music with substance. Si, por favor.

Album of the Year!
This is one of my favorite albums of the year. Start to finish is dope. If you like this song you’ll love this album, true soulful Hip hop.
lets blow this up. If this album came out back in the days with the illmatic’s, the score and the infamous, it will be conversed in the same conversations as those. Amazing album, this is the definition of hip hop for me.
Anyone who recognizes the greatness of Rasheed Chappell and Kenny Dope’s masterpiece that is Future Before Nostalgia I give props.

I haven’t actually purchased an album since my early high school days, to be honest i mostly download all my music and just individual songs if I can find it online but I actually bought this album full price with every track, and every single track was worth it. This is one of the best rapper/producer duo’s (Rashad & Confidence) that I’ve heard since Madvillian. For everybody that like this track, do as I did and go out and buy this album and support these guys, best $10 i’ve spent in a while.
This here should be getting some serious burn in everybody’s Mp3 players. There’s to much bullshit out here. Give some good hip hop a listen. Nice homage of Lord Finesse & DJ Mike Smooth’s album cover.
