She could have easily flopped after ‘Massive Attack’ but she latches onto and exploits whatever gets the biggest reaction out of people. ‘Romans Revenge’ and ‘Did It On Em’ were crowd favorites, so of course she’s going to try to take that to newer heights. ‘Super Bass’ made her a pop star, so she’s going to maximize that as well. At this point, Nicki doesn’t care about being ‘lyrical’. She cares about making money. So she’s going to have even bigger theatrics, catchier gimmicks, and crazier voices/flow. She’s a smart woman. It may not be the ‘classic, timeless music’ we’re used to hearing, but she’s playing up to her fanbase and a new generation that doesn’t care about substance. And making millions off of it.
