Was Ludacris Right To Diss Big Sean & Drake? (Video)

These days, everybody insults everybody online (if anything, the proposed bullshit SOPA initiative should stop that) so who’s really “right” or “wrong” in these shits?

  1. check out some new shit with old school heat http://soundcloud.com/kiv_music

  2. this is a all a joke.. of course ludacris was wrong to diss them he should have done it right after they said whatever about his wack use of the supa dupa flow (which is kinda true). luda is clearly doing this for attention, he overreacted way too much aswell like seriously what drake said wasnt diss worthy and it most certainly wasnt worthy of dedicating an ENTIRE song to it.

finally and most importantly: ludacris is a pussy for not name dropping. like really dude?? everyone knows who youre talking about and theres no way you would deny it in an interview so why didnt you just say their name?

  3. FUCK those pussies. You cant claim something that was done before you were fuckin born. Luda would slaughter those herbs on the mic, knuckled up or w/e. Hip Hop is a competition. These cornballs getting their feelings hurt over some shit and need to worry about more of their lyrics to pop shots back instead of crying like a little biggity bitch.

  4. “It’s a parade….MACY’S!!”

SMH at anybody defending that shit

Drake called out Luda not because he “stole” this flow, but because Luda was so fucking wack using it. This is the shit, that needs to be defended, especially in the age when rappers kiss each others’ asses, hoping to eat off each others plate

  5. @theBroKing: The reason he didn’t respond right away is because he’s been busy. He’s Ludacris, He doesn’t need to diss these lightweights for attention. And it’s funny you that you talk about no name dropping while you defend two masters of subliminal dissing.

  6. Yeah they said he said a shitty line, and they didn’t call him out, they were asked for an example of a bad line and they said that. so… Luda’s great and all but nobody was looking for beef…

  7. Luda prolly took the wrong route, but fuck Drake and Big Sean for even thinking of talkin’ shit about a pioneer in the game. Click my name to check out my blog if you are looking for another source for new music. Thanks.

  8. stop publicizing diesses and artists will stop wasting their time

  9. lmao @ the dude cuffin that lil girl. Like yeah shes my girl now LOL. I like the new addition in the big dude, and Jasmine, I love you girl..

  10. Damn that Poetic Justice diss was the uppercut. LMAO

She’s got to get him back for that.

  11. This is so stupid… From the way i understand it, neither one said that he stole what they invented. Drake started it all, Big Sean tried to play it off and ad say that Drake said it and he basically agrees.
Either way Big Sean’s whole argument was that he’s one of the first/MOST RECENT rappers to use it on a WHOLE verse or song and after that EVERYONE was using it in their material.
It is funny to me that the way Luda used it is no more wack than Nikki and Drake using it in there songs eg. “It’s going down…Basement”??? Booooooo

  12. I think that everyone is making a much bigger deal out of this shit than Luda,Big Sean or Drake. I don`t think it was worth all this attention. Luda was just saying in a round about way for them to do thier research and respect the onse before them. That chick Jazmine was really trippin`. Luda would get Drake,it may be a good battle, but Luda would get him (IMO). But social media did kill this with overkill.

  13. the truth, only the truth
    ——————————
both big sean and drake have MILLIONS of wack lines. lmaoo cmon they aint exactly nas…so who are they to call out other ppl for having wack bars…when they have millions (i spippity sip it, i giggidy gig it anyone?) lamooo . dont know whose worse the rappers or the fans. smh.

  14. SD>>>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XL7iRN1cZYA
PLEASE ACCEPT UR WRONG. PLEASE. I DONT WANNA HEAR NO MORE DEFENSE. BIG SEAN CLAIMED THE FLOW WAS HIS. THIS IS VIDEO PROOF. SORRY.

J.VI <hmmmmm so they choose to use YOUR lyric as an example of wackness….and that wudnt be offensive to u in the slightest? really? okay.

  15. What do you mean about the SOPA? They can censor what people say or what?? What’s up with that????????????????

  16. am i missing something here? when did lil sean and aubrey become the gate keepers of lyricism? last time i checked they were helpin kill it!! i cant stand where “hiphop” is goin sumtimes!

  17. I dont even know why they debating about this wack overused supa dupa flow shit. There will be no beef because if there were any lyrical battle Luda would slaughter Drake and Big Sean.

  18. I dont think much of Luda, Drake or Big Sean.

But lyrically Luda would murder sean and the suburban canadian

  19. For the last time Big Sean did not invent the style but he made a whole song with the style thats why its only right that he gets a little credit for making the style popular in 2010. Now Luda is not right or wrong for his response but I think he knows that its not that serious. Big Sean and Drake were not out just telling everybody that Luda is wack. Sean was asked a question and he answered it and I guess Ludas feelings were hurt but lets keep it real ALL OF US KNOW THAT LUDA MADE THAT STYLE WEAK AS FUCK WHEN HE STARTED DOING IT. Thats not a diss but I feel its just true because once he did it, it wasnt cool anymore cause Luda made sound corny. Luda had no business using that style in the first place because he got his own already. Now its cool that Luda had a little come back but COMEONSON we talking about Big Sean and Drake so dont even waist your time because they dont want no problems anyway. Why dont Luda get at the nigga from Field Mob cause that nigga just called him a pussy 48 times on monday and Luda is church mouse quiet like a bitch about that.

  20. ^1. that is a diss. u think if biggie came out n said nas lyric was wack in interviews it wudnt b seen as a diss? what is a diss then? we ALL know nicki minaj has used it terribly but they dont mention her and BIG SEAN AND DRAKE HAVE USED THAT FLOW TERRIBLY even themselves so y are they talkin about it!

  21. Waste…I mean. Luda did his thing on Theatre of the mind but after that he been rapping like shit.

  22. @billy, I feel you but people did get at Big and Nas all the time. Rae and Ghost used to talk shit about them both but Nas and Big both knew it wasnt that serious so they didnt respond. Now I definitely think rappers should battle but if its over some bullshit, then how much credit can you really give it? Because the whole beef is over Luda having some wack bars. Even on the diss back to Sean and Drake, the shit was wack as hell man cause I cant even remember one line from his bullshit and that shit just came out. Luda is cool but he need to go do some Tyler Perry movies and stop rapping cause his lines are elementary shit.

  23. @Mcfly Sir, fuck you for even mentioning Tyler Perry and his coon ass set the culture back 50 years type films/shows.

  24. Correction Rae and Ghost said some shit about Big before not Nas. Its cool that the seasoned rappers are starting to check these new rappers cause that needs to happen nowadays but Luda could have just threw a one liner at some squares like them two niggas. Done

  25. 1) Fuck Drake & Sean
    2) Luda has been whack for a while now
    3) I do feel like the “shot” was kind of irrelevant now, it was deserved.
    5) Where the hell did that dude get that shirt? “Take Me Drunk I’m Home” lmfao! I want that

  26. Luda has every right to say whatever the fuck he wanted. Im surprised he didn’t go in on every one of these fake up and coming kids trying to be the new face of hiphop.

That is the one this none of them have is the competitive spirit. They just dismiss anyone and everyone not a fan a hater and continue to move on, without ever growing as an artist.

Sometimes it takes a lyrical beating in order for them to step down or step their shit up.

  27. I don’t care what Luda has to say, he was jumping on the bandwagon. That’s like Omarion or somebody dying their har blonde now and talking about “Sisqo been had his hair dyed”. Luda saw it was popular and he referenced it, he wasn’t like let me use that flow that i heard such and such use in 1998.- Keep It Real Luda

  28. First off, nikki minaj isnt being mentioned because she doesnt deserve the respect of being referred to as a rapper. she is a pop star. big sean didn’t invent it but he definitely made it popular/revived it. drake gave credit to sean way back saying he got the flow from him and honestly drake does use it horrible. ludacris also used it horrible. i think luda has been out of the game so long because of the movies so he was trying to use the supa dupa flow to stay relevant. drake and the rest of young money absolutely butcher their songs when they try to use the flow. there is no winner or loser here, because arguing over who created a form of rapping that in my opinion is an easy way out during a verse, is redculous. try rapping with your friends and even white people who hate rap and teach them the flow and everyone sounds decent.

  29. oh and quickstrike just read your comment. amazing point right there

  30. I feel like that’s a dumb, irrelevant question about a dumb irrelevant rap beef but that’s just me. Click my name if you’re bad.

  31. “I get physco killer, Norman Bates”
ODB – “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” (1995)

Big Sean use in all song (Supa Dupa), Drake popularized it (Forever), but they did not create the flow.
Cam’ron & Sean Price are the best for using that type of punchline (Stop-Pause Flow).

  32. i think the point is really being missed in this video. first off drake took a shot at luda for using the punchline pattern in one of the wackest ways it was ever used. he wasnt being malicious, the interviewer asked him after he mentioned that the style got out of hand and was being used horribly what was an example of it being used badly. neither him nor sean had claimed to have invented it. drake gave credit to sean because thats who he borrowed it from. lets be honest before drake and the success he had nobody even paid attention to the fact that the shit was even being done. also sean recorded supa dupa in 07, hence ye using it in good life, there really wasnt anybody using that style throughout the duration of whole song or even a whole verse so that little history lesson luda tried to kick at the beginning of his “diss song” was irrelevant. give the lil nigga his credit man, and luda has been in the game too long to fall victim to this kind of fuckery it wasnt like they just said it and he was responding this was on a mixtape damn near a year later he needed the promo.

  33. @Iron lungz: Like they said in the video, Luda SONNED Sean on that history lesson, & Sean did say he invented it, I’ve read interviews of his from two years ago or longer where he said that, not Drake, but Sean did. & Luda didn’t fall into any fuckery, he responded to the jab they took at his verse, like a man, if you as me boss, no promo needed when you are bigger than they are. How many Big Sean/Drake songs can you say from top to bottom? & how many Luda songs? No promo needed for Luda.

  34. A lot of subliminal disses dropped lately, but with the history lesson before this, it takes the subliminal part & makes it obviously aimed at Sean. Maybe Luda’s coming at it from the side of “You know I dissed you, I don’t have to name you, I’m above you” & plus Sean already responded on the radio, he knew it was twards him, he didn’t question it, he knew it was a sean diss. Other subliminal diss songs, (B.o.B’s comes to mind) are questionable, but this fuckin obvious.

  35. Agree with Maga D.

Sean was talking mad shit about inventing “Supa Flow”, which he didn’t. Luda called him out on it with a lil history lesson. End of story.

  36. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1UYki8JUmY click that at 3:19 for Sean saying he invented it, this was in September ’10. yo I feel like I’m doing dirty work & shit, lmao, like I’m creepin on an old girlfriend, haha, I’m out then peace dbz.

  37. Ludacris will destroy Drake and Big Sean’s so-called “careers”
i dare Wayne to step to Luda..
show the world how your the “best rapper alive” bitch..
    u have no fuckin talent.
    Ludacris > young money

  38. @Mega D sean has on several occasions also said niggas did it before him, but in the fashion of which he did it he definitely deserves credit for. the point i was making about luda’s flashback was in each of the songs he tried to use for an example neither emcee had used the style throughout a whole song or even verse which is what sean did, the furthest it would go was maybe four bars. In recent years its been going on throughout the whole verse which drake is definitely responsible for helping popularize. He got the idea to do so from sean. So there was no sonning of anybody as far as that clip is concerned because nothing was proved, he’s reaching. whether or not you think he’s a better artist is your own opinion i personally enjoy everybody’s music but facts are facts and chris is falling off and looking for a way to hold on. yall keep talkin about shit he did, sean and drake have time on their side. if anything the fact that he would even respond to a couple guys that are one and two albums in says it all.

  39. If I run across my street in a sprint, & call myself the fastest runner, it’s still in the same event as Usain Bolt. I can say I did it on my street first & was the best on my street but it’s been done before and better. Usain Bolt could call me out for it if he felt insulted by it and all my fans making fun of him. It’s the same sport and the same event! I can talk disrespectful all day but I know my place & that Bolt’s better. He could show me his ESPN top 10 plays & I’d feel sonned for talking like I wrecked at sprinting in my old hood. Sean did it for a song, BUT he NEVER said he invented using it for a whole song, he said he INVENTED the flow, period. & be a B.S. fan or be a Drake fan, I completely have nothing against anybody who is. That was the issue at hand. OK, now I’m off this post’s tip, on that note, I’m out.

  40. Luda’s line was wack. But it was very insulting how Drake said “ppl are using it in a wack way, for example, its a parade.. macy’s”. Quit acting like if you were in Luda’s shoes you wouldn’t be offended. And in a Big Sean interview I saw he even said he created the flow. All the more reason to retaliate. Sure, the timing wasn’t great but still he got his point across. Ppl acting like beef is wack. Rap is a competition. Since when should everyone be cool with everyone. Fuck that. Nas beefed with Jay. 50 beefed with Game. Pac and Biggie. Nowadays rappers acting like hoes. Buncha fuck boys.

  41. Not a Big Sean Sean fan. But seriously who cares, Drake dont need to show respect to LUDA jus becuz he so called “from another generation” everyone she named, from Wayne to Kanye, ALL OF THEM FELL OFF. W\Wayne in my opinion has always sucked and Kanye has been trash since he dropped 808′s & Heartbreak. aint nobody gotta show respect to these niggas, Luda line was wack, and Drake clowned him. Drake is a better artist right now anyway, your time is up Luda. Time is now for artists like, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Elzhi, Cole, KRIT, to start sumthin new, they making betta music to you nigga. You LUDACRIS not NAS or PAC, so in my book Drake aint gotta show no gratitude for dis nigga cuz ppl CLAIM he a legend

  42. 1. Luda spits more flames than wack shit
    2. Drake called him out over wack shit
    3. You can’t tell me the “balloon” or Macy’s” line ain’t wack
    4. Those wack ass line wouldn’t exist if that flow weren’t popular
    5. Nigga got so insulted over another nigga’s opinion on a BAR that he made a diss track a YEAR LATER

All yall defendin Luda are defendin some bitch shit

  43. @vietnam: THANK YOU!!! Niggas only defending Luda because he been in the game for over 10 years & people hate to see change. Luda wasn’t too busy to do features for every rapper & pop singer in the game, but he was somehow too busy to diss cats that he feel disrespected him. It’s obvious Luda is begging for attention at this point.

  44. who doesn’t spit a lame bar once and a while. Hell, sup Drake’s verse on Game’s album talking about ninja turtles love pizza? lol nigga need to fall back, and big sean is just lame all around to me

  45. that was a dope verse^ just because he said ninja turtles in it? you sound so dumb. it did what it was supposed to do – entertain…. it wasnt a really hard or serious song it was just something fun

  46. All yall defendin Luda are defendin some bitch shit

    vietnom
    ——————
no its becasue ur DEFENDNG aubrey and lil sean the epitomy of rap sissyness, they have SO MANY WACK BARS ITS UNREAL…AND WHEN COMMENTERS call them out u say OH its just mucic, its so we can dance, now they wanna act all lyrical mirical high and mighty, with luda of all ppl..not the hundreds of other wack rappers that used the flow..CMON it was a personal beef they wanted to sneak attack him…and he retailiated. You SOUND LIKE THE BITCH!

  47. ^^^They didn’t call Luda out, they just said his line was wack, which it was. If any of the other new rappers said that exact same line you wouldn’t be defending them, you’d go on a rant about how the new generation is killing hiphop. Am I right?

  48. You gone have another drink or you just gone babysit? Haha that’s the funniest line I have ever heard. But fuck a flow, Sean used it consisently and everybody else started hopping on tracks trying to sell records and now we gotta problem. The flow has been used in the past but not like Sean, that’s the end. It’s not a discussion or topic, niggas might have used it a couple of times in verses but as far as a whole song or TWO, Sean gets the credit. Luda just wants to get that fanbase ready for his next album and Drake don’t know shit, he just want to potray an image of being “Trill”. Haha in my opinion Drake was the dumbass to start all of this none sense, I don’t think Sean really gives a fuck.

  49. you wouldn’t be defending them, you’d go on a rant about how the new generation is killing hiphop. Am I right?

    Trill O’Reilly
    ————————————————
so lets say big sean and drake said all this stuff about lets say currensy, or mac miller, or hmmm dom kennedy or smoke dza or who phil ade or whoever in the new school …IF i LIKED them or NOT…id still be like “oh they called him out”. cos thats what it is. IMAGINE its ur verse they said. HONESTLY how would you feel? considering you know there are A MILLION rappers who have made WACK lines PERIOD let alone A MILLION who used the pause stop flow in a wack way!?…

  50. ^^^They didn’t call Luda out,
Trill O’Reilly said this on December 1st, 2011 at 2:14 pm

Umm….trill o rielly…im curious…what exactly do u calling another rapper out if saying explicitly that their lyrics are wack is not calling them out…in this day and age…what do u consider calling another rapper out…im curious.

  51. “Sean did it for a song, BUT he NEVER said he invented using it for a whole song, he said he INVENTED the flow, period. & be a B.S. fan or be a Drake fan, I completely have nothing against anybody who is. That was the issue at hand. OK, now I’m off this post’s tip, on that note, I’m out.

    Real talk.

  52. Usually I’m for the Jumpoff team videos but this one I have to veto!

Idk if they put this video together as soon as Luda dropped Bada Boom but they obviously missed the fact that Big Sean clearly said that he wasn’t saying Luda was a whack artist, he just said that his flow on my chick bad was whack. That’s throwing shots? That’s beefing? Come on now…

  53. Wasn’t Luda the same dude who said he was the first southern rapper on a Premo beat? Niggas like Scarface should be dissing Luda cuz of this, right? Luda it was a weak ass punchline that made you money why even speak on it. Like J say sensitive thugs all need hugs.

  54. 1. Big Sean’s “Supa Dupa Flow” Went Throughout An Entire Song(i.e Supa Dupa, Supa Dupa Lemonade)
    2. Luda wouldnt have been using if it wasnt for the most popular rappers at the time using it(i.e Drake, Yeezy, Lil Wayne)
    3. Drake wouldnt have used it if it wasnt for Sean
