  19. OG Ron C is always still in the shadow of Watts and of course DJ Screw. While Watts really has his own style he is really the closest thing when it comes to honoring the art form. If anyone seen Screw at work he took the time when it came to mixing, blending and perfecting the mix of any track he “Screwed” up – there was a lot more involved than simply dropping the pitch. Sadly most of these people that attempt to carry on lack the talent and usually just do a trash job of attempting to chop and mix the records.

  20. It obvious that most of you guy are not familiar with the culture of the south. The only time i listen to the radio in Houston is on sundays when Michael Watts does his screwed and chopped portion on 97.9. EVERYTHING down here gets screwed and chopped, all the way from Bun B to Al Green and you can tell that the newer generation of artist have been heavily influenced by the Houston Hip Hop scene Drake J. Cole ASAP Rocky Big KRIT Curren$y and Black Hippie to name a few. In the immortal words of Pimp C, “You aint gotta like it but you gotta respect it.”
