holy shit this is good
WOW.
This is what happens when a bunch of niggas with real skills at what the do get together and make music. These lame ass crews with their generic soundin ass rap, weak ass plastic beats, you niggas just got put to shame.
This is how you make music punks. Long live The Roots.
This is amazing, and the Black Keys new album leaked too! Great day for music heads everywhere!
Amazingly dope. The Roots never put out a bad record. Really talented guys and real hip hop.
Album is a classic IMO
Album of the Year. No doubt.
Concept is ridiculous. Lyrics on point as always.
Production is top notch. The album and the story being told is just absurd. Instacop
I hate when people make album analogies, but, it is warranted here. This is the “Darkside of the Moon” for hip hop. A transcendent album that moves through a narrative with water like fluidity. The music and lyrics connect on sub textual levels that get deeper and deeper with each listen. There are no guest spots, just characters in the plot. I teach creative writing to kids in an afterschool program in a crime ridden area. It is hard for me to get them to listen to anything. I put this on, and no one said a work or shuffled in their seat. Its really connected. Their replies were “thats real talk” “i could really see the words come to life” “that shit is ill” “i love those guys, pause, no homo” Proud to call The Roots my favorite band.
wow. another CLASSIC record from the legendary roots crew. i hope they press it up on vinyl!
this record really stands out from their catalog tho.
It looks like the Roots just crafted another classic album
first album i purchased in two years
The Roots are partly responsible for Odd Future’s explosion onto the hip hop scene…

Ladies and Gentlemen… THIS is music.
With Common on Dec 20th, that makes 2 classics dropping in one month.
I wish Nas would release his album on December 13th. That would make this December one of the most legendary months in a long time
Roots Dec 6th
Nas Dec 13th (I wish)
Common Dec 20th
I’ll have to review this album for my site soon. Click my name bitches.
Must….resist…temptation!!!
By holding out it will making listening to it on release day that much better
woah. This is amazing. Showing these kids how it’s really done.
Shit maddd Wack as fuck not pleased at all from these clowns just to think it all started with Wack as phrenology and everything that followed were straight misses but this inparticular album sucks way beyond expectatio maybe the house Nigger jive band was a suitable mix because thus far it just seems that they lost there true standing in the game not to mention Malik B not being a official member there musical duality was lost all and all the album was a dissapointment and honestly these artist complain about sales but lack any true musical quality!!
^there’s always one.
