  10. remember when everyone said he sounded like Eminem. I never heard much of the connection. maybe now that there are more white rappers popping up like Yela, Mac, Action Bronson, Webby, Rittz idk people are used to white rappers.

    but Asher is very underrated lyricist. also he often speaks the truth like in his a Milli freestyle that he killed. I want to see more of that conscious rapper side of him, less of college boy

  17. @b He didn’t start out with solid mixtapes and and solid album. He started out a wack preppy pretty frat boy and “I Love College” still makes me want to blow my brains out. Seared Fois Gras has some good shit and Rawth was absolutely dope. So no, not typical hate. The dude is maturing and honing his skills and the growing respect is a result of that.

  18. @slim even if you think the greenhouse effect was not solid (i thought it was pretty good) it does not deny the fact that hes gotten shit from the beginning. the same hating that mac miller is now getting. Also the greenhouse effect was not representative of the ILC frat boy genre. Listen to some old asher interviews, from back then, he still reps the same vibe he is now. I agree he is maturing and honing his skills, what I’m trying to say is that hes had them all along, people just LOVE to hate on corny white dudes and then start dick riding after they drop 1 album + 1 post-album mixtape

    I’ve been a fan of Asher since Greenhouse Effect, but I can see how people are just now becoming fans. He’s gotten so much better as a rapper.
