Eddie Francis & Karen Wild, are the hosts of our Wake Up Show. They chatted with J. Cole this morning and he discussed his current relationship with Jay-Z, how he balances his older fan base with his new pop fans, and broke down stories behind a few of the highlight records from his Cole World: The Sideline Story album.
That “Lost Ones” video was pretty crazy.

Nice to see this on here. I’m from Seattle and listen to Kube93 every once and a while when I’m at work, missed this interview so I’m glad to see it here. Eddie and Karen doing their thing but I gotta say I love the Sunday Night Sound Session that they mentioned, keeping real hiphiop alive in Seattle, it’s a shame it’s only for like 2 hours 1 day a week.

Older fans? Meaning people under 22? Grown men don’t listen to music aimed at teenage girls. I got better things to do than listen to some dude whine about life for an entire album. I gave it one listen and the entire mood of the album was depressing.
Only thing I learned was that he can out-fart me. Possibly the wackest line I’ve ever heard outside of Lil’ Wayne’s nonsensical gibberish.

@B-rown I guess you guys are entitled for an opinion but I’m sure there are people over 22 who bump Cole it’s better than Soulja Boy. As far as being “some dude who whines about his life”. 1st “Can’t Get Enough”, “Mr. Nice Watch”, “Work Out”, “A Dollar & A Dream III”, “Rise & Shine”, “In The Mourning” & “God’s Gift” had nothing to do with personal life shit. 2nd You want to bitch about WTT not talking so much about personal life shit, but when Cole decides to talk about real life shit, you say he’s “whining” which is it you bi-polar son of a bitch. And that line can be matched with:
“I got the nerds rappin’ hard shit, dummies rappin’ smart shit
Mozart meets Humphrey Bogart with this from the heart shit”
And that was on the same song.
