Been bumping the hell out of this tape, then again I was going thru a break up… even went and rechecked his older stuff. This is by fair my favorite music from him so far.
That being said, this song probably isn’t top 3 but I can understand why he’d do a video for this one.

i HIGHLY disagree. THIS song is a banger(and i might add a single, thats why its so mainstream-ish, hence big sean on the record), but did you listen to the rest of the tape? like “miss you still” “wedding crasher” “wake me when its over” “used to be” “change” off of last train to paris ? and those are just his most recent.
curtis mayfield and em are goats, yes, but lets not act like everything that new is trash or not as good as the oldies.(and the dream aint even new, the man is 34) just bcuz its new and has a different sound from the usual curtis or marvin or anythony hamilton, doesnt mean its watered down. it just means you need to get out of that “only the oldschool music is good music” mentality. its like ppl denying kobe bryant’s or d rose’s greatness bcuz their so stuck on jordan and bird and magic and wilt.
the only thing thats changed now since then is that the great artists are harder to find and appreciate bcuz there is so many ppl doing it, and the only things that get public notoriety is from drake or trey songz.
but the dream has left his mark with his 4 albums and countless songs hes written. i mean, hes the only nigga out right now who you can say has a sound of his own. only other sounds that are similar are from prince or mj. the dream is most definitly underrated and under-appreciated

^ exactly. this is a single. a banger. and you make videos for the singles/bangers to appeal to the masses, but let the album cuts stand on its own. nobodys is gonna say “dirt off my shoulder” is super ultra legendary shit, but you will say its a banger. this is like, rule number one.
