Niggas that got killed in the field and all the babies born/
Know they ain’t fully prepared for this New World Order

“New World Order” was a phrase used by George H. W. Bush to describe the postcommunist world, but many of us understood it as a code phrase for the secret societies that controlled governments and economies. The suspicious deaths of our great heroes— from Bob Marley to the “rappers that’s gone,” all “killed in the field” of battle, the battle between good and evil, to put it simply—was part of that New World Order’s agenda. This kind of conspiracy theory was commonplace where I’m from; it may have been borne of paranoia, but, as they say, just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean someone’s not out to get you. Biggie and Pac could testify to that.

  1. so he is trying to wipe off the “illuminati” stain media spilled on him. but really – is anybody really interested in Jay-Z’s book?

  2. dumbest shit ever.. so they planted a tumour in bob marleys’ foot?
    ok

  3. classic track, Looking at this picture it like I’m staring at the devil and a Butterfly

  4. wow, thank god this got “decoded.” i used to think that line was about underwater basketweaving and how it would eventually become the biggest growth industry in the USA. thank you Jay for finally clarifying…i would be lost without these explanations.

  5. There are people interested in that book. If you dont, just shut the fuck up.

  6. How dumb. “New World Order” was a phrase used in the 1930′s. George H.W. Bush? Wtf? Bob Marley? Lmao. What a fucking idiot.

  7. @ shady. get the fuck outta here you clown. the only people interested in this book are hardcore jay stans and absolute morons who can’t decipher uhh plain english.

  8. @ stupidest shit ever, how ironic,

its about putting hiphop LYRICS on a national and global scale. the perception of hiphop(to ppl outside of 2dopeboyz and your friends, like the rest of the world that doesnt listen to hiphop) is that the beats and hooks are catchy, but rappers dont talk about shit other than pimps and hoes, drugs and guns. its perceieved that there are no double-meanings and deep metaphors or descriptive emotions. you know, basically saying niggaz is dumb.

so you understand the lyrics, thats cool, but thats bcuz your most likely black and hiphop is most likely your prefered music of choice, but that is NOT the case for a MAJORITY of not only this country, but the world. shit i bet your parents or neighbors have the same perception of hiphop(that it aint shit), but what jay is doing furthering the culture and explaining wtf is being said. and btw, i know jays actual idea was for reasonable doubt solely to be made into a book bcuz that was his most coded peice of work, but the whole damedash thing so…(and i have no facts of that for all you fact-fucks, just an extremly educated guess.)

so fall back from your typical jay-z hate and broaden your horizons a lil bit.

  9. George Bush’s “Toward a New World Order” speech was Sept 11, 1990 fool!

  10. @the realest
    Speak

  11. @the realest. you wasted alot of keystrokes there bruh. bottom line, none of this nigga’s work is “coded” or hard to understand…you don’t gotta be black or cherish hip hop as your preferred music of choice in order to understand simple english. the very idea of having to write a book to “decode” a nigga speaking in plain english in the first place is rather insulting and just…the stupidest shit ever.

its not “typical jay-z hate” …it’s just reality.

  12. ^ if you get a chance, take a rap album, any rap album, to a simple mailman or construction worker. someone randon and ask them to explain what hes tslking about. the fact that you think just anybody can understand rap lyrics tells me that YOU dont even undertand em, you just nod your head to the beat. 70% of rap is slang and make hood references. how could you know what hes talking about if you never been in the hood? its damn sure not on wikipedia. and thats just ONE factor.

nah i didnt waste any keys. i didnt use enough of em.

  13. you’re a fuckin moron. if the mailman or construction worker around your way doesn’t understand what jay-z is talking about when he says “Niggas that got killed in the field and all the babies born/ Know they ain’t fully prepared for this New World Order” then i guess we know who is and isn’t from the so called “hood” and who is and isn’t a graduate of special education classes. which makes you a fuckin ass clown who wasted WAY too many keystrokes. end of story.

and if you think not, come to the bronx and ask me about it you bitchass faggot.

  14. ^^ classic e-thuggin’. That shit’s sad that he had to resort to “come to the bronx and ask me about it you bitchass faggot” lmao. But co-sign @the realest.

  15. @ stupid, Knock it off nigga! The way you attacked dude about his opinion shows that you’re the ignorant bitch. How the fuck you just know what Jay-Z is saying if you don’t know him? Just because he says one thing in English doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a different meaning, or subliminal thought. Lay off the hating, and learn to respect the next man’s opinion. The way you went at it, sounds like you’ve NEVER picked up a fucking book. I read the book when it first came out, and was amazed at how I thought I knew what he was saying, but he was on some other shit. Read it first, then try to make a educated conclusion. Until then, keep your weak minded, uneducated, sheeplike, hater sounding comments to yourself. And if you really want to get gully, fuck the Bronx nigga (I HATE stupid niggas like this)!

  16. and yall wanna talk about sheep? classic e-stans. for real.

Akademik, and Chicago–both of you morons seem to overlook the fact that it was YOUR boy who attacked me for MY opinion. and i wasn’t asking this clown to come to the BX so i can confront him on some thug shit. I’m responding to his bogus implication that you have to be from the “hood” to understand what Jay Z is talking about.

All three of you sound so uneducated and clueless that I am actually starting to see why this book could be useful to you though. Apparently none of you can understand even simple shit, so go ahead and cop the book so that you can learn the secrets of Jigga’s otherwise esoteric wisdom.

  17. Nigga, your opinion was based on hating someone for making a book decoding their lyrics! It’s your opinion, but it’s a bitch ass one. And as far as you talking about e-stans, I come correct. Check my post idiot! I don’t dick ride anyone. i just bring it to faggot ass, hating ass, retards like you. Eat a dick.

  18. Mr fuck the bronx…just buy the book and stop crying already. sorry if it asshurts you that most people with functional brains don’t need to spend loot on a book to decode lyrics, but if this book speaks to your deficiencies then “get yo learn on” [decoded translation - "educate yourself"]. knock yourself out.
