Thought we were just done after the Kendrick show on Friday? Floridian residents of the dopehouse: On Saturday, October 29th, the dopehouse is set to take over Miami’s Eve Nightclub, and here’s your chance to win passes to catch ¡Mayday!, ArtOfficial, J NiCS, QuESt, Ghostwridah and Parable The MC perform. How do you enter to win? Simple: enter your full, real name and legit email in the c-section down below where applicable (not in the comment itself, unless you want some random spam bot flooding your inbox for the next 50-11 years), and write “Miami” in the comment. I’ll pick two persons out of the mix as the winners (a pair of tickets each). It’s not that hard, right? Floridian residents/those who actually plan on being in Miami the time of the event enter only. Good luck.

Yo! I’m hyped up about this show… Just moved to NY but will be in Miami celebrating my birthday that weekend! Hook your boy up!!!

lol @ grunge but sad reality is that grunge is way rawer and iller than that weak shit. Straight garbage. An embarassment for the real city of Miami. People should have to write “Kendall” in the comments for tix smh
I would love to know who you think should perform. Pitbull perhaps? smh
Miami
How about Sayeed and Arsenelli or even Kaseeno? These wack dudes on this flyer up here have a monopoly on the local Miami scene. All they do is put each other and their friends on so you never hear no one else getting on or shine. The music is really not dope.
And don’t front you know you liked Pitbull on Dammit Man and Born and Raised.
MIAMI
Miami.
And to all of you hating on this event, you all are the reason Miami isn’t shelling out its talent the way it needs to be. Ghostwridah and SAHEED (for those who can’t even spell names right but want to talk trash) are doing big things too. Just because they aren’t on THIS particular billing, doesnt mean they aren’t supported by 2dbz at all. Have you even browsed this website? They’ve been mentioned. But until you can come together and support the talent south Florida has, one show at a time, all south Florida will be known for is Trick, Trina, Pitbull, Ross, and booty music. All of you complaining, did any of you go to Warped Tour and check out all of those South Florida hip hoppers doing their thing? Absolutely not. So shut up already. JNiCs just performed in ATL at A3C and showed them how they get down here in Miami Mayday is working with big names and putting New light on Miami hip hop. But why am I wasting my time.. you’ve probably never even bought anyone’s track off iTunes to show support. Lame asses.
It’s not a monopoly. It’s called demand. The acts don’t control who gets booked unless THEY are throwing the event. Mayday has been hustling playing at venues for over 7-8 years. And AO around 6. Over the years both acts have established very strong local fan bases. Therefore venues and promoters book them because they make money for the venue because people come out to see them. Tell your boys to keep grinding, and if they’re good enough then they’ll keep growing their fan base which will lead to better bookings. It’s a business my friend.
and no…never listened to Pit lol
Let me correct myself. Saheed isn’t on this particular billing and ghostwridah isn’t on the flyer. He is still performing. Why cry?
Amen Vanessa! I’ve worked with some of these guys down here in Miami and trust me if they had a corner of any market in their pockets they would be living the dream. But they have all hustled, practiced, recorded and spent an incredible amount of time and energy to get the little recognition that Miami gives them right now. So anyone trying to take that away from them doesn’t know SHIT about what these guys do to stay in the fans’ ears.
See Vanessa thats the problem with the Miami scene and people like you…..Trick and Ross are DOPE. I also like Kanye,Common,9th Wonder,MURs, El-P, just to name a few current artists I’m on. So I’m not just on some ignorant music tip. Why am I gonna go and watch and support an artist that makes weak music? I’ve given all these dudes objective listens….it’s just not what I feel or want from hiphop. It lacks a certain edge. I’ve seen Sayeed/Saheed live and his shit is dope. It bangs. You really think a simple misspelling is a worthwhile debate topic? What made you fall in love with hiphop? You think these dudes on the bill are affecting any young kids lives or making them hiphop heads like Wu/Nas/Biggie/Pun/ etc did?
@psyence it’s cool if you don’t dig the music, but no need to trash it like you were doing earlier. At least respect their hustle. Music, like most forms of art, is subjective and there is always something for everyone
I’ve been waiting for something like this for a minute. Keep it up. Im glad to know Miami hip hop is more than just Ross, DJ Khaled, and Iceberg. Anybody know any good underground hip hop spots down here?
Miami!
Miami <3
