  15. Of course everyone hates this, because haters hate to hate for hating purposes. I’m starting to question whether you guys are really hating because you listened to it and just felt you didn’t like it or because it’s now “the cool trend” on blog sites.

    Look Mac, isn’t the “lyrical miracle, spiritual” rapper, he won’t have dizzying wordplay that’ll leave you brainfucked, but neither is The Cool Kids, neither is Dom Kennedy, shit not even Curren$y. The one thing they all have in common is that they aren’t lyricists but they’re just fun to listen to, if you want to chill, or go out to a party or if you just want to kill time, not everything you listen to has to be black & white for you guys.

    This mixtape is pretty good to me, it’s a nice sizeable tape that’ll keep Mac fans satisfied till 11/8. His flows are on point, his rhymes are pretty good (considering all the shit I said up top) and there’s some beats from Brandun DeShay & 9th Wonder that are nice, plus Mikey Rocks, Bun B & Talib Kweli are featured. So please Mac haters, before you beat him to a pulp for showing love to his fans, listen to the tape and determine your own opinion.

Just because some1 doesnt like Mac Miller’s music it doesnt mean theyre closed-minded, just accept the fact that not everybody likes him, its not hate, theres just nothing special about him at all…and the more known you are, the more “hate” you will get, when youre less known only your fans know about u which is why he used to only get positive feedback, but now alot of ppl know about him and not every person is going to like it, that doesnt mean his fans turned their back on him..its like being a star basketball player in high school, everybody locally loves u, but once youre in the NBA more ppl know about u and not everyone is going to like u, but u still maintain your original fanbase

  28. @4th ear Look if you don’t like him because you heard his music and said “nah, this ain’t for me”, then you’re not the person I was directing that message to. However Mac is getting so many bullshit comments directed to him you can’t tell whether it’s because of the music or because of everything else BUT the music.

    If you were to tell me “I don’t like his music because he talks too much about weed” I could disagree with you (“I’ll Be There” was dedicated to his mom, plus everyone dickrides Curren$y) but I wouldn’t consider you “a hater”, shit I would understand if you said “He’s way too corny for me”. But I believe a hater is someone who criticizes another person to an extreme extent (wishing death on him) or criticizing with no purpose or an irrelevent purpose (“Oh I don’t like Mac, because he’s white”)

    And I get it Mac’s not for everyone, and I won’t dickride in this post by saying Blue Slide Park will be better than Section.80, Cole World, Watch The Throne, All 6′s & 7′s, The R.E.D. Album or even LA Riot because it probably won’t. But that doesn’t mean it won’t be good or even great, only time will tell. But I’m just tired of hearing Mac HATERS (not critics, there’s a difference) trying to act like Mac is in the same league as Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane & Waka Flocka Flame (c’mon guys, really?). To me, Mac has 4 things going for him being positive, staying true to his fanbase, his production & to some extent lyricism (he’s not lyrical, but he’s not anywhere near bad).

  34. @degreekip, first off Raekwon co-signs everybody (even Justin Bieber lol) & that Mos Def co-sign was on one album. Second, the reason why I added Curren$y is to me just mediocre overall, sure I love Pilot Talk I & II and Covert Coup was fine, but everything else just doesn’t impress me as far as solo shit goes. Unless someone can prove me wrong, all Curren$y talks about is weed, women, Jet Life, planes, etc. I don’t think he can’t spit on a good day, he just doesn’t blow me away as an artist. To me, Mac can talk about other things aside from weed. As far as lyrics go Curren$y might have an upper hand, but he basically stays in one lane where as Mac doesn’t.

    So yeah lyrically Curren$y>Mac Miller
    but as an artist overall Mac Miller>Curren$y
