I believe the Avengers movie will be better than the Dark Knight Rises (despite Mark Ruffalo replacing Edward Norton as the Hulk) because I believe the Dark Knight people are gonna try 2 hard to make Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman as good as Heath Ledger’s Joker. But this is coming from a marvel comic book head

  4. Regarding the comment above … yes I do agree catwomen is wack, but to say that Avengers perhaps may be better then Dark Knight Rises is just foolish! Chris Nolan is a FUCKING GENIUS! The dude who’s doing Avengers is medicore at best! Chris Nolan will ensure that Dark Knight Rises … will end the best trilogy in movie history! Chris Nolan … Inception … Memento … Prestige … Dark Knight! The resume speaks for itself! Perhaps I’m DC biased, but they’re movies are more adult imo. Man of Steel … 2012 baby … Zach ‘fucking’ Snyder baby !

    “The guy doing Avengers” ain’t average. He’s named Joss Whedon and he’s on par with Nolan but mainly has done other mediums. He mad Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, and wrote one of the best X-Men comic runs in the past 20 years with Astonishing X-Men.

    Dude is far from average.

  18. Excited for the film but Batman will be much better because of the director and it is a much darker film and it’s a more adults oriented rather than aiming for the children

  20. Me being a huge Marvel fan, I’m looking forward to this. For those asking about the villian. It’s Loki. Although I did read a rumor that (for you other Marvel heads) Thanos will make an appearance. As far as “The Dark Knight Returns,” I’m looking forward to that too, but I’m not feeling Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. To me she has no sex appeal.

  21. Loki will have some type of army with him and will assault Central Park. I’m thinking they’ll be alien but we’ll have to see.

    Loki is a guy that likes to pull strings from the background though. I’m really surprised if he’s the main main villain. They’ll at least need to introduce a bigger figure like Thanos or the Skrull because Loki is always kept in check by Odin. I also feel like they’ll need to contain the Hulk at some point in the movie (clearly, not an easy task).

    Love that Capt. American / Iron Man dispute setting up a Civil Wart in a few movies, if they get there.

    Whedone + Downey is going to carry the movie, plus the great cast and dialogue. It’s gonna be better than Dark Knight, even if it is less adult.

  24. No doubt, Nolan is a genius and they really shouldn’t be compared. But Buffy was one of the best TV shows of all time.

    Memento and The Dark Knight, plus making a movie with Nikola Tesla in it. I can appreciate those contributions. Overall though, I don’t know if he outshines Whedon by that much. They are totally different directors though, Joss Whedon wrote Toy Story. So he’s 1 for 1 with Disney movies. Though his other films have been much less successful, they were all low-budget.

But this movie will be good there is a plot and suspense there just making it all action looking because they want people to just think “ohh….. its only action i want to watch” but no its not read comics and shit and like all the other marvel movies, COMICs get mentioned and people from comics end up in the movie or mentioned. like Hawkeye in Thor , or Tony Starks Father. It’s always suprising to see what happens so dont judge the movie by the fucking trailer its a trailer all trailers suck dick. Just watch the movie and see for yourself. LMFAOOO its not for children you’ll see

    loki was the first villain the avengers ever faced in the comics too. he tricked hulk into destroying a railroad or something.

    the first avengers were wasp, ant man, and iron man teaming up with thor to stop hulk who was under loki’s manipulation. so this lineup with hulk is still not the first avernagers who started it all.

    they are blending ultimates with the first avengers from the 60s. cause my dad read sgt fury comics when he was a kid and fury wasn’t black until the ultimate universe was created in the 2000s. Things are changed based on artistic opinions, don’t be too worried with them forgetting the original. comic books are all about imagination so anything goes. DC just relaunched every single one of their titles from issue 1 remaking the entire franchise like its day 1.
