L to R: Diamond D, Lord Finesse, Fat Joe & Big L
Ever since I first heard the news that the homies over at Slice-of-Spice were gonna be working closely with Lord Finesse on a few projects, I’ve been gassed. For those who may have missed the info, here’s what’s in the pipe as far as Finesse x Slice projects are concerned: Funky Technician Instrumentals LP, Return Of The Funky Man Instrumentals LP, Signature-7-Series (x3 7″ singles), Funky Technician Remix Project LP and Return Of The Funky Man Remix Project LP. Well, damn! As a precursor to those aforementioned projects, Slice-of-Spice has liberated a previously unreleased remix of Finesse’s You Know What I’m About (there are two versions, one which featured an uncredited verse from Big L) This will be pressed up on flexi-disc and given out at the NYC WFMU Record Fair this October.

Yeah, this is a hearty offering of Finesse projects. If they could get that Underboss album put out, too, that would be a nice added bonus. This is a good start though! HAHA Thanks for the “heads up,” Justice.
Peace and GOD BLESS
