Take another listen and u will put a 5 on C4 and a 12 to section 80 if u consider that Cole deserve a 9! (just my opinion…)

  9. @lilgeorge c4 8/10 you’re joking right?

  12. Dont talk shit just support these rappers : Phonte, Elzhi, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Big Krit !!!!!!! when you wanna hate, hate on kanye west, jayz and lil wayne

  13. it took him very long to release a very average project but it doesn’t matter go out and support on the 27th the video is dope too

  14. Nigga still won’t shave his damn eyebrows smh.

  15. @big l why hate on kanye and jay-z? there actually the ones keeping hiphop alive because the rest of the dudes you jentioned no one cares about its reality you saying it like kanye sucks and jay-z is not one of the best of all time 2dopeboyz needs to do one of those thing where a niggas walks down the street and ask random people do you know who elzhi is so they can scream NO hiphop is dieing because you niiga write off every single mainstream rapppers you hate on jay-z and kanye while there far mor eother rappers you should be hating yall let lil b get this famouse but choose to hate jay-z wtf? if you gona hate hate on some one that deserves it wackalfocak birdman ..same with hating on rick ross who can actually rap a lil yall worried about him being a c.o while you could be worried about why kreawshawn is getting nominated for best new artist when she has dropped literly one song no hot mixtapes or albums ONE SONG and she gets a nomination us hiphop fans got to get our prioritys straight..worried about j.cole album sales when we should be worried about why lil wayne got a pass for wearing thights

  16. @Big L I’ll support who I fuckin want, I fuckin love WTT, don’t tell me who I should talk shit about.

  17. @ Dmdpro5, touche’, my nugga, touche’

Since this is a COLE post, I will only mention COLE. I’m coppin’ 4 physical copies on tuesday. I got the leak and I’m thoroughly impressed. I’ve been a fan since he first dropped “Losin My Balance” on youtube a couple years ago. I’ve gotten 3 phenomenal mixtapes from him and the album exceeded the expectations I had for him due to the “Work Out” song and Jay-Z lack of support for him. I feel like Jay has boosted Rihanna, Jeezy and Ross’ careers (Hell, even Drake) more than he has for Cole. I’m 28, but when I listen to Sideline Story, I feel like a 13 yr old listening to his cooler older brother. The album has a great mix of wisdom and bravado to it. The fact that he produced a majority of it made me earn a new level of respect for him because the beats are all dope. This album to me just put him in the Kanye/Black Milk category of ill lyricists who produce their own shit. I’ve heard Lights Out and In The Morning a million and one times prior to the leak to the point where I skip em. Now with the full product in hand, I play the entire album straight thru. Is it a classic….hmmm, thats debatable. But the fact that it is a debatable question validates its strength as a balanced album.

  18. Cole’s album is dope….the ONLY people who are disappointed by the album are the dumbasses who expected illmatic….and those people who did obviously know NOTHING about hip hop because if they did they would know cole is no where near nas’ level…..Cole is great and so is his album….but he is no Nas i put this album near the same level as College Dropout because they both had 2-3 shitty songs each lol

  19. The album is dope, enough said.

  20. I’m “still” bumping this album.. it just came out for fucks sake.. hater get more ridiculous each mothafuggin day..

If anything, WTT has very little replay value at all..

  21. ^^^ Yeah man i was expecting some monumental shit when when WTT dropped (IDK why when Jay keeps disappointing but i did) instead of the commercial garbage that it was. i think New Day and murder to excellence are the only GREAT ones off the album

  22. Lol this nigga gave RED album a 6.5 behind C4? You are one ignorant listener…

  23. 2011 Album Ratings
Section.80 – 9.7/10 = I wasnt a fan of OD but Section.80 had it all. Bangers, lyrical songs, and chill songs. Classic album
Greatest Story Never Told – 9.6/10 = Saigon is one of the best rapper you’ve never heard about
Cole World – 9.2/10 = Filled with loads of great songs, but only thing keeping Cole World from being a classic is that some of the beats sound to similar
Watch The Throne – 8.6/10 = Really solid album, what u expect from two heavyweights in the game
Lasers – 7.9/10 = A really solid release, just not up to par with Lupe’s first two albums. All Black Everything is the song of the year so far
Finally Famous – 7.8/10 = Sean owes No ID a big thank you for all of his beats. No ID is a monster behind the boards
RED Album – 7.3/10 = More fillers than good songs, but some of the songs go hard
Rolling Papers – 6.3/10 = Wiz sold out hard with songs like Roll Up and No Sleep. But then brought it with The Race, Rooftops, and Star of the Show.
Goblin – 4.4/10 = Im gonna kill u, then rape your mom. Thats what i heard on every track. Hes biting Slim Shady hard, but it aint gonna work for Tyler cause hes got no boundaries
Tha Carter IV – 3.1/10 = The two best songs on the album dont even have Weezy on them. That pretty much expains it all

  25. this nigga A. Hole better hope that all these years of useless interviews, wack mixtapes, wack videos and failed singles was well worth it for album sales promotions.

    A. HOLE YOU PAPOOSED YOURSELF!!!©

  26. NYC/BROOKLYN….the fact that you call him A.HOLE….shows that ur corny as fuck….and he cant papoose himself if he tried because hes actually dropping an album….even if it flops he cant papoose himself cuz papoose doesnt even have an album to his name….so chill b lol

  27. @deivne nice unbiased real ass list of the year, thank you

  28. NYC/BROOKLYN© is dead.

  29. Devine, you’re an ignorant fuck, never try to rate music again in your life.

  30. oh btw i love little boyz and their little cocks. yummmm. cum in my ass.
    A. HOLE YOU PAPOOSED YOURSELF!!!©

  31. J Cole just stop already and get the fuck outta Drakes lane nigga !!!

  32. i support j. cole, and i will be coppin the album, but how many more of THESE songs do we need??

  33. What are you talking about, “Drake’s lane”? To my knowledge, Drake’s never made a song such as this. Plus, Cole’s had songs like this since the Warm Up.

….Shit, I just feed the troll.

  34. LMAO @LupeFaco gotta be a troll

  35. the fact that you dummies pay NYC/BROOKLYN any mind makes you look even more stupid. the phony NYC/BROOKLYN just stop it already you are not funny.

  36. marty is another big time hater.

  37. Raekwon – Shark niggas.

  38. @9/27

It’s just so hard to ignore this dude, because he says the most stupidest shit, knowing that someone’s gonna call him on it and get into a pointless debate.

  39. STOP THE HATE! Cole delivered with this album. some of y’all just hate cause you have no life. that album was for everybody old school, new school, in school, need to go back for school. I mean did you hear sideline story? rise and shine? breakdown? fuckin lames nowadays

  40. STOP THE HATE! Cole delivered with this album. some of y’all just hate cause you have no life. that album was for everybody old school, new school, in school, need to go back for school. I mean did you hear sideline story? rise and shine? breakdown? “watcha say Cole ain’t hot wat? where you read that shit”

  41. @Devine Solid list. But yeah I’m kinda disappointed that Cole used a bunch of old songs. Don’t get me wrong, they’re good, I just would have preferred some fresh shit

  42. @Devine

What’s your rating for REKS and Hell: The Sequel? Cause those were some pretty beast albums Imo.

  43. Dude already made more singles for girls for his album then Drake made for his debut album and Cole World aint even out yet. The truth is the truth dont be mad at me that he still dropping this bitch shit. Yeah I said it, get the fuck outta Drakes lane since you cant do it better.

  44. @Pauly Dee

I hear you but it with NYC/BROOKLYN we already know what to expect. the more we comment on him the more we are doing the same as he is. overall it’s waste of time on everyone’s part. when cole goes gold this week he will come back out to say shit about that.

  45. Dude already made more singles for girls for his album then Drake made for his debut album and Cole World aint even out yet. [2]

  46. …..Nobody gonna comment on the video?

  47. J cole whole album is dealing female issues. Turn off the lights, lost ones, Never told , daddy’s little girl, Nobody Perfect and ect. This nigga started to become the Tyler Perry of rap. Where the hood and streets songs at.

  48. i’m tired of all of these niggas talking about ‘this is a instant classic’, Cole included, give it some time homie then make that statement. let more than a year… not saying that’s the exact time necessary (like 364 days is too early to tell -__-), but a substantial enough amount of time to see how great the music is when the hype around the music and artist is irrelevant. some albums capture the moment it was produced in so well that it can carry the energy from that era on that CD every time. niggas like the ‘get rich or die trying’ because they can literally relive what they first felt about the song back in 2003. however, a lot of albums don’t do that.

an album can be released and immediately be recognized as an incredible, solid, and cohesive body of work but i think part of being stamped as a ‘classic’ album is it being timeless and you can’t rush time. jordan didn’t join the league and go straight to the hall of fame. no one does.

  49. @ThaTruth

You forgot Work Out, Cant get enough and In The Morning.

  50. The number of non-girl tracks outweigh the girl tracks sooo…

Why are you guys even complaining about tracks about women anyway? Hmmm.

  51. Same pussies always waiting to congregate for a j.cole or kendrick post to lame politic. You squares bitches don’t know shit about hip-hop.

  52. Im still waiting for Kendrick to do one last video off section 80, and i would like it to me “Spiteful Chant”

  53. it’s not j. cole’s fault he has girl songs on his album. who cares if he has more girl songs everybody in the game has them too. cole girl songs are still more better put together than drake’s girl songs. cole doesn’t need to sing like drake do. cole will surpass drake once cole album drops on 9/27. it will go gold because it’s on roc nation.

  54. This album made me download two of his mixtapes. Cole World is one of the better hip hop albums this year. Took me by surprise, it kinda looked like he would fail before I heard the album.
And I liked his mixtapes but think that Cole World is his best
Cole World > Friday Night Lights > The Warm Up

  55. The number of non girl songs outweigh the songs about girls? Hmmmmm NO
@9/27 – who cares if he has more songs for girls everybody in the game has them too? NO because most MCs have more songs about their own issues then about girls and when they do make songs for girls they at least make good ones and they dont take half the album to do it. As far as surpassing Drake? You gotta be out your fucking mind.

  56. Do yourself a favor and get Cats and Dogs on 9/27 or Phontes album and before you make Albums of the Year lists wait for Take Care, God Forgives I Dont and The Believer to come out later this year. Now get mad

  57. I suggest we don’t feed it anymore.

  58. I really didn’t notice the amount of songs for the girls on this album until someone pointed it out in here. There’s like 8 or 9 female themed tracks on here.

  59. @Devine
I mostly agree with your reviews except 2 things…
    1. Game is WAY over Lupe’s & Big Sean’s albums. To me, there’s only 3 tracks I could skip, but most the other tracks (Ricky, The City, Martians vs. Goblins, Heavy Artillery, Speakers On Blast, Good Girls Go Bad & Born In The Trap) I LOVE.
    2. I don’t think Tyler has “no boundaries”, in fact I think there were too many boundaries. Every other song, there’s some bullshit disclaimer that says “Oh, this ain’t real. I’m not horrorcore. Don’t place me in a box. Blah blah blah blah blah.” really kills the joy of listening to this album. I mean, I get he doesn’t want to be placed in a box, but if all you ever talk about is rape, kill, etc. then how can you not be horrorcore. To me, Goblin was a watered-down Bastard. Some good, most bad.

But it’s all about opinions I guess, you pretty much nailed it.

  60. im starting to think the c-section consists of a bunch of losers with nothing better to other then argue all day.

  61. @ Marty , I agree, I dont know how people cant see this , I would write a paragraph on this, but I’m not in the mood . Drake will get more females wet on his songs than J cole’s. J cole wanna play Mr nice guy too much, Im sry I like too Fuck Bitches and not to be too much in their feelings. J Cole = Tyler Perry of Rap

  62. It never takes long for the haters to attack J. Cole in here. Do you guys realize where hip hop is right now? Its almost dead. You niggas have the nerve to say Cole’s album is just average? You guys are crazy. Cole released one of the better albums in the last few years. Cole World and Section.80 are by far the best albums this year. @Airborne I liked the video. lol Somebody had to say something about it. Stop hating and support good music. Cole World.

  63. @turftalka
Each of those songs you said about The RED Album i like a lot too, but there were so many bullshit tracks near the end of the album. Plus imo the album had little flow. The Dr. Dre skits were pointless and tracks like Hello, All The Way Gone, All I Know, and Mama Knows were are skippers to me. I cant even finish one verse on most of those songs, in addition to having weak choruses and boring production.
What I meant by Tyler has no boundaries is that he doesn’t show respect to lots of people. The dude is just an asshole and his music is pretty weak. Just shock value for teenager suburban boys to look hard. Yonkers goes hard tho, but the music video is just to dumb for me. Shock value = poor attempt to cover up lack of talent. Tylers got some sick bars, but his flow is weak.

Here are some albums i forgot:
Return of 4Eva – 9.4/10 = Honestly not as good as KRIT Wuz Here in my opinion. Its obvious that KRIT tried to make an album with a big southern influence. Really great album tho. Just an inch below a classic, due to some skippable songs.

Hell: The Sequel – 8.9/10 = Royce Da 5’9 really impressed me on each song as he ran circles around Eminem, who is in my top 3 of all time (Biggie, Pac, Eminem). The Reunion was my favorite cause it brought out the old “I’m choke you with a tampon” Slim Shady. This was the best we’ve gotten from Eminem since The Eminem Show imo and Royce outshined him which is really impressive.

Covert Coupe – 7.8 = Bloggers made this out to be like a Kush & OJ just cause they love Curren$y. It was better than Weekend At Burnies, but definitely nothing special. Every track had the same subject matter. But I gotta mad respect for Spitta’s work ethic, I’m sure we will get a few more project from Spitta this year.

When Fish Ride Bicycles -7.5 = Sick beats and catchy rhymes like most Cool Kids mixtapes, but the quality is definitely better. The album seemed too short to me tho. Swimsuit woulda been the Summer Anthem if Cool Kids had a major label backing.

Weekend At Burnies – 7.2 = I was disappointed that this was Spitta’s major label debut. Pilot Talk 1 & 2 and Covert Coupe are all much better. This seemed more like a mixtape than Covert Coupe did to me. Still a solid album nonetheless

My 3/4 of the year awards
Album of the Year – Section.80 = Nearly flawless. Great concept album. Kendrick gonna get huge after Detox…..if it ever comes out.
Song of the Year – All Black Everything – Lupe or Dreamin’ – Big KRIT = Two chill songs with good meanings
Video of the Year – Pusha T – Trouble on My Mind = The video just fits the song perfectly. Tyler & Pusha together is a problem

  64. this nigga can go 3X platinum this week and he will still be that wack nigga to me. I know exactly how you dickriders play the back and forth game. I seen yall bulid this nigga up to be the next Nas and FAILED. when this nigga got signed to rocnation the all out frenzy labeling him the next all time great FAILED. yall compared his internet mixtapes to legends real albums and FAILED. when the nigga couldn’t represent that real shit, yall had to compare him to commercial wack artists to make yall feel comfortable. the nigga A. Hole snitched on himself with all the BS finger pointing commercial pop artists, and he turns around and does the same shit but even worse. now niggaz wanna say he had to sacrifice some of his talent for the business of label and labor. there was nothing sacrificed with this nigga, he was SOLD OUT from the jump. send in the stunt doubles.

    A. HOLE YOU PAPOOSED YOURSELF!!!©

  65. @marty mcfly

come on man…usually i see your point of view in these things but:
    a) Drake doesn’t have songs for the bitches copyrighted.
    b) For the most part Cole takes those tracks in a different direction than Drake with the exceptions being Work Out, In The Morning, and Can’t Get Enough.
    c) Bringing up Evidence and Phonte was irrelevant in this shit.

    @ThaTruth

You take an L for thinking it’s called “Turn Off the Lights”.
You also take an L for saying, “Drake will get more females wet on his songs than J cole’s.” It’s some borderline gay shit to be a man and judge an artist on that.

  66. @NYC/BROOKLYN, wow, i totally agree. those are some great pionts about cole its almost like cole fans are brainwashed by just the way things has been handeled.

  67. @Chicago

Lets not front homie Cole bite Drakes whole style and vibe.

  68. Is it identical? No but do the whole underwater sounding shit to his beats and you would think 40 did them and he dont do his singing shit on his hooks like Wiz or Big Sean. Theres only one other rapper that carries his hooks the same way. Drizzy

  69. @ Chicago , I know you on J Cole dick, Im calling it the way how I see it , I like J cole as a Artist but Im just being honest with my shit. And I know the song called Lights Please since you being so sensitive about his shit faggot.

  70. @marty mcfly

well I don’t see it but i’m no expert. And if he is biting Drake’s style then he’s putting his own spin on it which I think a lot of hip hop artists do. (Tell me Jay-Z didn’t capitalize on the mafioso rap popularized by Rae and Ghost for his debut.) So Cole’s capitalizing on where hip hop is heading right now. If he can do what Jay-Z did and branch off from there to become the one setting the trends we don’t know. As of now, dope album, i haven’t taken it off repeat yet. If he’s biting Drake’s style he’s doing it better in my opinion cuz I gave Thank Me Later a fair chance and it only got 2 plays.

  71. Lol I wonder how many of y’all even watched the video…

  72. @Chicago

Naw Jayz capitalized off his real life story on his first two albums and he aint doing Drakes style better the Drake man. Stop it cause did Ross start singing to stay hot? NO

  73. @marty mcfly

    ….you win again

  74. Compare this to that Wale “Bait” video lol

  75. the funny things when lil wayne had high album sales album sales doesnt matter lol now watch if j.cole does good numbers people are going to say its a classic lmao just like how when jay and kanye did the first week everyone was like omg jay and kanye sold alot then carter 4 dropped”ugh album sales dont matter” you niggas crack me up same wit the jeezy ross thing nigga be like jeezy went platinum 3x ross 0 so jeezy is better niggas use album sales only when it benifits there fav artist shit cracks me up

  76. I wonder…how much productivity does it take to hate like this? You go to every post by an artist just to post negativity. I could see if you posted constructive criticism and then left it alone…but it seems that you have a sworn duty to pick fights with certain artists fans.

A new Plies joint just came out. I hate Plies. Does that mean that I’m going to try to persuade his fans why he’s bad? No.

  77. @Chicago
Plus Drake has that “sexy” vibe that people are drawn too. J. Cole is cute, but just cute. That affects how your fan base interprets your music. Right now no one is fucking with Drake when it comes to sex appeal. Dude is gorgeous to look at and that sells music.

  78. @ spin , you already know that wale video goes way harder than this. J Cole is on that Mr save a hoe shit.

  79. marty…I hope that you are a female.

  80. Yo Mcfly you’re a fag for even bringing up sex appeal of another man…you get a rainbow colored L for that lol

  81. Looks like my troll is mad again but hey it aint my fault so making a gay ass comment using my name aint gonna make me start saying Cole World is a classic like his stans do.

  82. Looks like some one finally came out of R Kellys closet…

  83. Pauly you and your wack avatar need to go back to listening to Diggys single or that weak BME shit cause you corny as hell. LOL no really Lmao

  84. Hahah, is that all you got? Is that all you can come back at me with? Hahah, pathetic.

  85. and my comment wasn’t gay like that matters anyway, let’s leave the homophobic comments out of this since it doesn’t need to get personal. It’s a fact that being an attractive man sells music. Pointing out that Drake is sexier than Cole just shows how my man has your man beat at something else.

  86. @ Pauly Dee, Whats up with that avatar lmao

  87. LOL “your man” Marty Mcfly?? Your fucking crazy nigga. I said crazy not anything homophobic so chill haha

  88. ThaTruth

    IDK. What’s up with it?

  89. More trolling that is so obvious its pointless. Just make a name for yourself and come at me like you aint afraid to get clowned. These trolls is shook nowadays. smh

  90. Thats what I thought coward. So while you sit there and try to think of some clever shit to say using my name just know that youz a ray j type of lame and you really dont want nothing with me cause if you did you wouldnt throw stones then hide your hand. Bitch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKVTmx1zos8&feature=related

  91. Anybody can just say that someone is trolling marty. You just saying that shit to save face.

  92. @dmdpro5 you said kanye west and jayz they keeping hip hop alive but i think the “most” of the fans they got aint real hip hop fans. For me hip hop is big krit, kendrick, cole, etc. etc. not jayz or kanye west. Bro hip hop doesnt mean to sell alot of albums. hip hop means some real good music. If you support real rappers hip hop never gonna die but if you support some fake riss ass rappers cause they sell much and they mainstream hip hop gonna be dead.

  93. This video was nice,it has a good message, if you cant see that you’re uneducated. And what is with the dumbfucks on here saying cole papoosed himeslf? you sound stupid because if im correct papoose never been on a WORLD TOUR, and never dropped an offical album. Go support real shit 9/27 cole world and go cop phontes shit too !

  94. I just want to say pauly has the lamest avatars on this site

  95. it kills me every time j.cole tries singing. that’s not you cole. but this song is nice. hopefully the album doesnt flop. havent heard any of it yet. not expecting a classic. just a good debut album. opposite of big sean and wiz’s. they disappointed the fuck outta me. both of them lost a fan with that one. im sure cole wont even tho some of his releases he’s been sounding outta place (disgusting, heavy, wonderland). but i guess you gotta make songs like that for mainstream. cole isnt the best mainstream artist but he makes good real music when it comes down to it (show me something, i get up, lost ones, lights please, losing your balance). i’m just hoping he’s not a sellout like some of my previous rappers i fuck with. keep it spitta like cole!

  96. not wonderland… never neverland… my bad

  97. I laugh at all the haters who hop on a Blog site to give their two cents about a rapper. When you listen to these rappers and “no one” knows them you feel like you found a 1943 penny. Then once they build a good fan base you claim they are a sell out and that their music isn’t up to your standards? No one is worried about what you expected. Your hating ass is still listening to J.Cole behind closed doors.

  98. Neverland is hot to me. At least he don’t sound like Drake. Dude tonedeaf and monotone. Drake’s songs all filled with excessive long pauses like he forgot his own lyrics.

^^cosign @Spitta. It always goes like that. This rappers can’t win with some people. But by the sheer amount of albums he sold, I know they listening to his music behind closed doors lol.
