N.i.C – Macallan 12 (Mixtape)

N.i.C drops his latest mixtape offering. N.i.C is a member of iLL-Literacy, a band that uses funk and hip hop to merge imagination with social engagement. As his first solo music project, Macallan 12 depicts the plight of coming of age in the midst of luxury rap and a flailing economy. Tracklist + Download link after the jump…

If you like drinking whiskey and talking about music, or conversely, if you are also coping with a dead-end job and listless prospects, then you are just like me and I made this project just for you. There are no jobs. We should do what we want. Drink and be merry.

  9. Between the Lines samples a amazing uk artist called plan b . youtube him if you love real hip hop and old soul music, cant believe 2 dopez aint done a bit on him before he goes to america.

  10. For Between the Lines, the rockabilly track is perfect for the pseudo-whimsy of the song. it’s interesting that the words depict interactions that didn’t go as planned, but the upbeat tempo of the song masks that. It is as if on the surface it seemed all good, but beneath the surface tensions obviously stirred. Nice.

  11. Macallan 12? LOL you broke bastard, try Macallan 25.

  12. @dJ Khaled is an arab:

If you weren’t so worried about dissing DJ Khaled you would have noticed, The Defamation of Strickland Banks, got plenty of exposure. There is a reason why his exposure went no where. Try to broaden your OWN horizons before you jump on a post to try big up your favorite local act. NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR PLAN B. No matter how dope a UK rapper is, they will NEVER make it in America. NO AMERICANS WANNA HEAR SHIT ACCENTS. Think about it, before you try to act like you up on some hip hop game. You so far behind, play catch up before you try to school real heads on what’s going on now days.

    Catch a clue.

  13. doing his thang! awesome brother!
