He doesn’t loose anything by doing this (business write off), but has everything to gain from it (publicity, business non prof exp, retirement possibilities and longevity). He has the capital to invest so if he can do some good with little detriment I commend him. Everyone else seems to be doing it so why shouldn’t he. He is going to retire one day and why not have a legacy in the process.
