A (2)Dope Contest: Win a Copy of DOOM’s Operation Doom’s Day 4xLP

Today, the dopehouse has teamed up with Stones Throw for a (2)dope contest. Here’s your chance to win a copy of MF Doomʻs (aka Zev Love X) Operation Doom’s Day 4xLP Box Set. However, we’re not gonna let these slide as easy as entering an email this time. We’d like to see the creative side of you all come out. So, how do you enter for a chance to win? Easy, grab a camera and snap a photo of your MF Doom collection (including any KMD stuff) and send it to 2dopestonesthrowcontest[at]gmail[dot]com with the word Peach Fuzz as the subject. The person with the most creative photo will be chosen as the winner one week from today [9/13]. Get to snapping! Weʻll also be choosing the winner for last weekʻs contest and sending an email to the winner. Big shouts to my man Hav and Stones Throw.

Vinyl Box Set Contains:
4 RECORDS: The album, the instrumentals, b-sides, alternate versions. Tin box with four records protected by paper dividers and cushioned inner box, as seen in the photos below.
LYRIC BOOK: In large 7×7-inch format, 32 pages.
CARDS: The 10 Doomsday MC card set.
Weight: 3.5 LBS

MF DOOM’s debut album OPERATION: DOOMSDAY was originally released in 1999. It has seen at least two different versions on different labels, gone in and out of print, bootlegged, and even released once with a cheap scan of the original cover. This is the first complete & remastered version of OPERATION: DOOMSDAY, containing the original album, alternate versions, b-sides and instrumentals – 42 tracks total – with all new artwork.

UPDATE: We have a winner! Peep Karl’s winning photo after the jump. Thanks to EVERYONE who participated. There’ll be more contests in the future so keep it locked!

  2. FUUCCCKKKKKK! i dont really have much doom stuff. can i screen cap?

  3. I don’t know how I feel about your latest giveaways. I get that you’re searching for the true fans out there, but we shouldn’t be excluding the true heads that don’t have the luxury of being able to afford an extensive MF Doom collection. I think it would mean more to someone with less financial standing (textbooks aren’t cheap, man). /rant

  4. Shake….this contest is mine. People have seen my hip hop collection and dookied on themselves. My Doom collection is SICK! I get back home Friday… when I take the pic, you will see. Finally my obsession for hip hop will pay off. Watch for the pick on Friday…it will BLOW YOUR MIND!!!

  12. I want this so bad like no joke please make my life!

  13. who won this?

  14. man the rich getting richer

  15. Wow..that DOOM collection is pretty sick up there!! Congrats to the winner. DOOM is my peoples and he’s having issues with his US citizenship and is stuck in his hometown of London at the current time. That would explain the no-show at RTB this year..not another fluke ladies and gents..real life issues on some Slick Rick shit…ez…

  16. That’s a fucking sick collection. What’s the “other” madvillain record on the top right.

That Vaudeville Villain record is one of my favorites.

    Where’s Born Like This?!?! <-sarcasm

    Congrats man

  17. Are people really whining about not being able to afford a Doom collection? Really? Hip Hop heads are turning into petty people. Goodness. It’s a contest! Usually, the person who is the best in a specific area wins. What are people looking for, an 11th place ribbon? They don’t exist. Can we please stop the pettiness for just a little while?
