    and his album was an undeniable classic with dj exile producing every track on boy meets world.

    so fuck outta here with that global shit.

    for cole to impress me, he has to bring it all on his second album. this debut sounds too much like the rest. the stories are unoriginal save three songs. and most of the songs sound uninspired. it’s as if he did them as album fillers.

    there is an overall story but it lacks a complete sound. the best song by far is “God’s Gift”. that and lights please are classics. everything else… ive heard it all before.

  51. I am a J Cole stan since day one and go to concerts and shit, and am gonna actually cop multiple CD’s just to show appreciation for his previous music unlike half you internet nerds defending him and still end up downloading it for free.

    I may not completely agree with TRACE, but that guy has a point. I can see where he is coming from. Cole has been dissapointing lately and he is capable of making better music. This song with Jay-Z could have been so much better. If you fans are gonna dickride and not hope and expect the best from your artist, then you some weak ass seasonal kids who don’t know music. Same fans who said they don’t care about commercial success are stating commercial facts? WTF? Quit joining the bandwagon and listen to what you like not what others want you to like. He is a good rapper but he isn’t a game changer. He doesn’t bring something completely new to the table.
