  1. crazy

  2. lol This really sounds like a joke

  3. Why is Kendrick on a song with Shwayze and Cisco. As a LA native, I am disappointed. Especially since this song is trash. Cisco and Shwayze should NEVER be associated with Kendrick. No disrespect to them cause Shwayze and Cisco make great music but comeon Kendrick… those suburban white kids that you’re trying to reach out to aren’t going to start listening to your shit just because you’re on a song with Shwayze.

  4. God I’m so sick of these hip-hop heads.. stop claiming people, stop calling people sell-outs if they do something outside of their genre.. just let Kendrick do his fucking thing..

  5. God I’m so sick of these hip-hop heads.. stop claiming people, stop calling people sell-outs if they do something outside of their genre.. just let Kendrick do his fucking thing……INTERNET BLOGGERS HATE ON EVERYTHING

  6. I’m pretty sure kendrick reaches more suburban white kids by being e-famous than being on an independent shwayze album

  7. I like it. Clearly some people are never satisfied. An artist is not obligated to do what YOU find acceptable.

  8. Its funny how yall complain that kendrick isnt popular enough or isnt selling enough albums and then when he tries to get his name out there ya call him a sellout.

  9. @LOS ANGEL you think its people in the hood that support hip hop music? Cmonson

  10. “those suburban white kids that you’re trying to reach out to aren’t going to start listening to your shit just because you’re on a song with Shwayze”

For all you know Kendrick may have been wanting to work with these two. For all you know they just got in the studio, vibed out and made good music. Why assume that the man has some hidden agenda?

  11. Or rather do you think its ONLY just people in the hood that support hip hop music? Thats sounded better. Anyway Shwayze is cool even though they part of the skinny jeans invasion but they stay in their lane with they music which is dope.

  12. “those suburban white kids that you’re trying to reach out to aren’t going to start listening to your shit just because you’re on a song with Shwayze”……….who you think buys his shit hood niggas, come internet geek. good song.

  13. Come on guys, since when is it about the sales and shit. Who cares if the hood niggas aint buyin shit, lets stick to the music people. Ex. Cole tried to stray away from his lane and go into the mainstream and the shit aint workin for the nigga. Kendrick should be in his own lane and if the masses want to support him and his venture so be it. I don’t care who buys shit I care about quality music. Kendrick did a song that will be forgotten about in 2 days. Aint no one gonna be bumping this shit in the hood, the suburbs, the beaches or wherever the fuck shwayze gets played (if he even does anymore).

If I were Kendrick, I would make another damn good mixtape like section 80 so his buzz gets even bigger. After that, I would start talking to big name producers so he can advance his sound a little bit because his sound will get boring after a while. Maybe then he can start reaching a bigger audience. Becuz right now other than 2dopeboyz and the hip-hop heads of LA, aint nobody know about that nigga Kendrick.

  14. Its always cole mentioned in a kendrick post or kendrick mentioned in a cole post lol smh.

  15. I just don’t get Shwayze’s appeal. It’s good background music, but I’d never listen to an album in my car or go to a show.

  16. @LOS ANGEL , we know people aint playing Shwayze in the hood but they aint listening to Kendrick either. IMO alot of people in the hood are casual listeners of hip hop meaning they just turn on the radio and what ever comes on is what they listen too. I dont think everybody from those areas really cares about what new artist is popping unless they follow hip hop sites. When it comes to Kendrick I think people need to decide if they want him to blow up or not. If they do then that means expanding his fan base , if not that means staying where he’s at.

  17. If he wanted to sell out, he probably wouldve done a song with someone who sold more records than shwayze.

  18. Honestly, I just want more people to be exposed to Kendrick. Kendrick is so talented and has such a great message that I think more people should know about him instead of hearing people like Wacka.

The rap game is so fragile right now. We got niggas like Drake at the top? Really? Dude made it to the top after one album which is ridiculous. A song with Drake will get as much buzz as any Kanye song would if not more because of all the bitches that listen to Drake.

I’m still waiting for the strictly hip-hop rapper that makes it without singing and shit like Drake. I thought it was going to be J. Cole but lately this nigga has been letting me down. Cole is the only artist right now that can blow up (who strictly raps). Looks like hes going to fuck it all up though if he keeps dropping poppy ass so up. Kendrick I want to go more of the Nas route.

  19. @LOS ANGEL

Drake is on top of the game because he sells. Know who buys music? Women. Ages 11-25. That’s the demographic still buying cd’s and iTunes albums/singles. Men know how to steal music. If we were buying music like we were back in the 90s, we’d still have a 2Pac or a Biggie in the charts, but because we’re, in most cases, better at stealing music online, we never resort to purchasing shit. Get the girls/women on board with stealing music and we can even the equation.

Also Drake is only at the top in a superficial sense. Don’t take it too seriously, everything that resembles mainstream media (MTV, FM radio) is geared towards WOMEN so that’s why all the music you hear from those avenues is girly/pop oriented. Just take every chart and imagine it was made by/for the ladies and it should make sense.

  20. Nas seems to be the archetype for everything related to being a real MC. The thing is though its would almost be impossible to follow in Nas footsteps because if somebody made a Nas type album today that shit would flop harder then a fat bitch trying to skateboard. When Nas came out making “real hip hop” was the popular thing to make and now hip hop his a worldwide sound so it sounds like it.

  21. NO DOWNLOAD THO ??

  22. @Lysol

    So men destroyed hip-hop?

I think when a group of men stand behind a particular artist (Kendrick, J. Cole) it says a lot about that artist. We’re entering an era where artists are only discovered through the internet. Guys always have to be too cool to post a video/link to a song they like on Facebook. Imagine if 10 of your friends consistently would post a youtube link to their favorite Kendrick song. Kendrick would isntantly get like 10x more exposure by letting girls know that guys listen to Kendrick etc. etc. Artists need to connect with their fans as much as ever nowadays as opposed to back in the day when artists could just let out quality music and by spread of word people would discover it.

  23. I know I’m a few days late for the argument, but both sides win in this matter. The side that just wants to see K Lamar blow wins simply because he is on this track. The side that just wants K Lamar to be a hip hop head and not associate with artists/groups like Shawzye and Cisco ALSO wins because K Lamar already used this verse. He used it as he was featured on Bloodtype’s song “Thanksgiving”. It’s just mixed here differently. EVERYBODY WINS!
