NYC Remembers 2Pac (Video)


Today marks the 15th anniversary of one of hip-hop’s most legendary artist’s death. Tupac Shakur passed on September 13th, 1996 but his music still resonates with music fans today. I talked to people in NYC about the rappers legacy in this edition of Face to Face. – BET

  1. if ny liked him so mch, why didnt they step up and say who shot him when he was alive? easy to pay tribute to him now, but when he was alive most of them hated him. pac loved buckshot and wu etc, but when he exposed the cowards at bad boy, you did nothing.

    Maybe you didn’t hear, but it was Jimmy Henchman and some west coast niggas that shot Pac the first time. So in order to answer your question, NY didn’t know who shot dude, cuz the shooters were from LA.

    If LA liked him so much, why didn’t they step up and say who shot him when he was alive?

What a complete underwhelming rememberance of 2pac. 2pac was really on a higher level than hip-hop and these guys couldn’t even capture what he brought to the hip-hop landscape. 2pac is MLK and malcolm x if they lived in the 90′s. “We ain’t askin anymore, we was askin with the civil rights movement, we was askin with the panthers…. i’m pickin the lock comin thru blastin.”
