Fuck CTE, Freeway’s way past the dopeboy rap stage of his career anyway. The Stimulus Package and all of the various tracks he’s released over the last year or two have been more backpacker type shit anyway. CTE ain’t doing shit, Freddie Gibbs won’t ever put out an album until he leaves CTE anyway. CTE is corny and you can tell Jeezy’s just trying to stock up guys so he can go to war with Maybach Music
i love this move, if it does happen. whats not to like? freeway will be on CTE which is signed to def jam which is a major. and if we talking MMG, what would you consider a better three to be honest: jeezy, freeway, and gibbs or ross, meek, and wale/gunplay/pill/and the rest of them niggaz. im just saying. i would buy a CTE album just as long as theres ATLEAST one DJ Toomp beat and some Don Cannon. that would sound so right on paper that it couldnt fail in execution.
Freeway needs to stay independent unless they can get him commercial radio play & larger paid shows. If not it would be a bad move. Freeway has more to lose

no majors! he’s not a commercial rapper. rhymesayers is perfect for artist like freeway. great distribution everybody gets their music out. and they come with a fanbase thats consistantly loyal. i havent heard about a single artist having trouble gettin their shit out on rhymesayers. independant labels are the new majors. fuck the industry.
