Common x Nas – Ghetto Dreams (Remixed By… Nevermind, Canʻt Say)

I received this remix of Commonʻs latest single, Ghetto Dreams and was told not to let the cat out of the bag as to who is behind this one. Letʻs just say, heʻs a very slept-on, but also very respected producer from DC. Pay attention to them drums. What does the dopehouse think of this remix? I personally like it, itʻs not some olʻ regular-ass remix, some thought went into it. Also, note that this was a VERY rough draft. UPDATE: Itʻs not Oddisee, but all due respect to the brotha.

  14. yeah, definitely sounds like oddisee. kinda sleepy, though. he’s gotta add something that provides energy that matches the emcees’ deliveries. the horns that play out occasionally are a good touch. drum pattern is pretty bland.

  15. I’m with the current, it’s so Oddisee… being from the DC area he gets all my support. Heres to hoping it is and see Odd make superstar status.

  16. Definitely Oddisee. Damu is dope but never doper than Oddisee

  17. Oddisee isn’t really ‘slept-on’ though, is he?

  26. Oddisee, Kev Brown, or Damu, in that order… I bet we’ll all be surprised though. Never the less, this remix is sick, a lot more laid back. Love this shit.
