It’s really not just the order of the songs that made this album suck, it’s an almost compete lack of good material. 6’7”, President Carter and Abortion are the only songs that are even close to Carter 3′s level, and the 2 best verses on the album belong to Nas and Tech N9ne.
The more people buy this album, the more people are gonna pass up his next one after this disappointment.

I think we all agree that WTT is a better album than Carter IV but Carter IV has had much more success on the charts. He has a very strong mainstream audience. He has a pop appeal. Imagine the women who bought this album just for How To Love. All the high school kids. All the suburban kids. I am sure Wayne figured this album would sell regardless of what was on it. Hence, we as fans get a very scattered brained album. I do give him credit for touring and making music outside of just the urban radio records like How To Love. Marketing and touring aside though, the best thing about Carter IV is the production. Personally, I prefer substance over style and actual content. More records like Nighmares At The Bottom and a couple other songs are the only few that held my attention. I really thought after being locked up for 8 months Wayne would have more to rap about aside from eating pussy, being a blood and rambling rhymes that make no sense what so ever. I guess I was wrong about that so I think I will stick with the Carter II album and call it a day. Because content wise the Carter IV is so bad that my friends said it made them appreciate Carter III but hey to each his own. If the album does sell whatever the numbers all it proves is having a dedicated fanbase trumps good music these days. Aw well, I’ll just wait for some music I can relate to to be released.

I’ve seen a couple comments saying tech n9ne and andre 3000 had the best verses…I bought the album (enjoyed it) and I read the credits that say D. Carter wrote Tech N9ne’s and Andre’s verses and he also wrote parts of the outro with Nas who is also crowned for best verse. Wayne did a decent job with the album imo
