SMKA Presents: Outkast – The Dub Below (Mixtape)

Art by Esperanza-ATL.

Being a huge Outkast stan, I don’t see myself replacing any of the original songs with these revisions, but that could be different for some of y’all. Check as producer Justin Padron puts a Dubstep mix to some Kast-klassics. Tracklist/download link after the jump.

  1. Dubstep? Is this a joke? What a shame. I HOPE no one would replace ANY original with some bullshit “dubstep” remix.

  2. jesus christ you’re a fucking loser faggot shake why are posting this garbage

  3. Word, either your a fucking idiot for posting this or your getting paid some good bucks for posting this. Dubstep is bad enouh as it is and to make it worse they probably completely murdered these classic tracks.

  4. FUCK DUBSTEP

  5. open your mind and give it a listen

  6. yeah, i’m pretty sure more people hate rap than hate dubstep, lol

  7. why did every commenter above me get that salty?
some people enjoy the genre, calm the fuck down.
they clearly appreciate kast, maybe they’ve just got good taste and aren’t closed minded hipsters…

  8. this actually sounds like a creative ass idea. im pretty sure all the people posting negative comments haven’t even checked it out. people really do need to stop being so closed-minded because you’re on depriving yourself from other things.

  9. This is very creative. I personally love dubstep and many other types of EDM music. I have always wanted to hear songs I use to listen to growing up mashed up with sick EDM tunes. Haters gon Hate though. Love them. Burning Man here I come!!!!

  10. Dubstep the subgenre is very uncreative. When you expand to more than just that with more types of electronic elements, thats when shit is a little more interesting.

  11. damn yall need to expand yall horizons — this shit is hot — u have to listen to this not thinking about the original version…

  12. I am not a big fan of 80′s ish but that blend of Biggie with Atlantic Starr was dope lets check it out before we curse the shits existence.

  13. This shit is fucking horrible. I love OutKast and this ruins so much of it. Get this shit OFF of here.

  14. all those people hating above obviously oblivious to real dubstep. Big Outkast fan and cant wait to hear this

  15. JUST BY THE COVER I KNOW IM NOT GOING TO LIKE IT

    FUTURE OF DUBSTEP 2011

  18. You hipsters just come out of the woodwork don’t you? Let’s remix Illmatic with country and I’ll tell you to “expand your horizons”… How about you all just shut the fuck up and respect people’s opinions on not taking a classic and butchering it with some modern bullshit genre.

  19. Ok I haven’t seen a single comment that makes me think any of you have actually listened to this thing. Could somebody please just tell me if it’s any good? Anybody that actually listens to dubstep knows that there’s some absolutely crazy shit, and an awful lot of really terrible shit out there.

  20. Its a few solid dubstep remixes. Remixing ANYTHING in no way takes a single thing away from the original so I dont understand the bitching just don’t listen to it if it bothers your irrational ass. OF COURSE the originals are MUCH better but who cares its a few solid remix’s.

  21. i like dubstep & i like outkast so I’ll give it a try. don’t listen to the haters shake, you’re still a winner in my book (except for not posting any odd future on here…)

  22. what’s dubstep? is that like music for you to two-step?

  23. meh…its aaaaight, but not worth listening to twice. Just makes me wanna listen to the originals.

  24. @And Won

Imagine Transformers (the robots themselves) having sex while someone attempts to ingest an electric pencil sharpener. That’s what it sounds like. It’s very hit and miss.

  25. These goll dern cockmunches think they can take kast and step it out… SHAME!!!

  26. yall niggas close minded, not even gonna give it a chance and already chewing out shake…

  27. Shake, why dont you at least post one playable track from this album so we can hear it before downloading this bullshit. duh!

  28. Isn’t it hilarious that the fans of the crappy Odd Future camp tend to enjoy Dubstep as well? All shitty music in my opinion.
    Stacks and Patton for life.

  29. I went to high school with this guy and he was a lame. That being said, he’s doing his thing, and gets props for putting this shit out. That being said, this tape is whack sauce.

These tracks didn’t need a makeover to begin with… no need to guild the lily, as they say.

  30. @GradyHigh2001 hahahha dead at that.

“he’s a lame, respect, still lame.”

  31. I like trance/house music, but this dubstep trend needs to go away asap. Shit isn’t melodic in any kind of a musical sense.

  32. Dubstep isn’t my thing but I love the shit out of outkast and they picked good tracks to remix. It’s not like these are meant to replace the damn original tracks, it’ll be fun to listen to. I’m downloading it, I figure it’s at least worth a listen. If it sucks, it sucks, if it’s sick then it’s a good excuse to bring out Outkast at parties.

  33. I like dubstep but this isn’t anything special.

  34. wow this is crazy!! thanks bro

  35. It says black ice is the first song, but its actually Sky High, a goodie mob song, It still has Kast on it, but its not black ice
