He came from the underground with experience in battling and making the Infinite album. Mac came out at 18 with beats from soundclick and hardly any experience in the game. Mac raps about weed and girls and is still trying to master his own style. So I just cant compare the two cause its not an equal playing field.

Mac Miller seems like a student of hip hop. With that said, he isn’t that talented. He is just the younger white version of wiz khalifa. Wiz is an average talented with exceptional charisma. I understand. You’re right in a way too. While Em hasn’t had much influence in things like fashion, he did have his own Jordans. And he has had an influence on his fans, whether they be negative or not, it’s still an influence. I think you can’t really measure Em’s impact on hip hop culture, because you have to measure his impact on pop culture in whole. To him being blacklisted by MTV to his FCC censorship to his celebrity beefs like marty mcfly said. Dude was beefing with Christopher Reeves. If you look at it like that, not including his hiatus, you see he’s probably had more of a impact on pop culture in a more mental way, if that makes sense.

Right. I think Mac still has wyas to go before he figures out his formula. Right now, he’s just using Wiz’s formula mixed with some old school style. That’s gonna stop working soon. He has to mature and he needs to find where he fits. Khalifa has successfully turned himself into a Pop Artist(which is not bad at all), but Wiz knows what is going to work for him while he’s in the limelight, and he knows he doesn’t have to be too lyrical. I think Wiz is more practical with his music, and he’ll make it sound good without having to put that much effort into rapping, kinda like Cudi. It took Wiz how many years to come to this, and it seemed like he was gonna break out at least twice, but he didn’t until now. He’s changed his voice at least twice too. Mac is still fresh, so I don’t think it’s gonna be easy for him.

Eminem has had an album on level with Reasonable doubt.. actually, two of them. I’m not saying they were better because both rappers touched people on different levels but the impact the SSLP and MMLP had on the game and its legacy cannot be denied.
