Wale is one of the most difficult up n coming rappers to evaluate. This nigga can drop some thoughtful, good music to vibe to (basically all of More About Nothing) and then he can drop some “wtf rick ross just bukaked on my face” music (this mixtape). most of the songs are mediocre, but “The Podium” is SICK. Give it a listen. Black Cobain tears it up (as usual), as Wale has the greatest sports reference of all time. Also, give “Ocean Drive” a listen. Also pretty good.
