If you haven’t realized by now, Jay Electronica hasn’t released his album because he is waiting for the right time to do it. That will become evident when it does drop. It will all make sense.

He promotes himself constantly with videos/interviews and stating and changing release dates again and again. Saying he has finished material yet withholds it because of god knows what. Jay Electronica can’t be a successful rapper without fans and by disappointing us by not following through on his own statements it only hurts himself. Artists aren’t shit without fans. He don’t need to release anything but if that’s the case fade away and stop coming out every 6 months talking about new (old) projects.

You kind of DO owe fans music when you promise it to them. And if you’re an artist that preaches about opening eyes and all of this, why wouldn’t you do just that — instead of posting these random ass videos of cats in the desert?
I considered myself a huge fan of Jay Elect, but the way he goes about his shit is kind of irritating to a fan. Fans crave music from their favorite artist. Not saying he should put out a song every week, but damn, we can’t even get 2 songs a year.
@JF Kennedy, you already got two songs this year (The Announcement, Shiny Suit Theory). Ok maybe it was just one, not sure when The Announcement came out. At least one. And I think Act II will see the light of day before the end of the year, on very short notice. My guess is October/November. Jay is waiting for something to happen…
