  34. Positive: I like the fact that Jared has no fear and experiments to try and make his own style. I actually think his singing has gotten better.

    Negative: This missed pretty bad for me. He morphed the song into something unrecognizable. Sometimes that works, but this time I think it really backfired on him.
    -
    Suggestion: If you’re going to redo what people consider a classic, you usually HAVE TO keep the overall vibe/integrity of the song intact as you put your spin on it. It’s limiting, but when people have such a strong familiarity of a song, you can’t deviate too far from what made that song so memorable. Or else people will go nuts in the wrong way.
