Blu – My Sunshine f. Nia Andrews (Video)

Directed by aaronisnotcool.

Live from Los Angeles, Blu shoots the official video for the first single off NoYork! A track that ranks among my favorites on the album, and ironically sounds completely different than 95% of the rest.

  13. THE FIRST VERSE

With enough love to light up a sky
Earth must’ve asked the Sun for a sign and he smiled
    no reply, just shined
    It’s no surprise, I see
As the winds made love to the Seas
The sand dance to the rhythm of the breeze
    I believe in a Heaven
inhaling the presence when I breathe in the essence
As the seasons change, colours of the trees ??
Got me ready to Spring outta Autumn
Thoughts Fall-ing like leaves and B(?) caught em like sneeze during Winter doe
fired in the heat of the Summer
Knew a girls name, pretty as a world’s name
    Wonder would(?) her own plans
standing in a dream, hands stretched like wings
tryna hold on to something concrete like peace
    live once like 3
    lost months
    to weeks
    Daze, pass the blunts
    let her grab that once
bet she hasn’t dreampt about this yet
bet some summers you just never forget

    RECOGNIZE MY NIGGA

and move this to the top SHAKE comon dis the best thing to come out today 4realz

  14. Shake… hulksha

  15. this song is meh gotta hear the rest of the album

  16. Blu is far from the greatest, but he is the best in hip-hop right now and one of the most talented and poetic artists in all of music. Hopefully this release will concrete him into that spot, despite all the haters who claim he fell off because he released free mix tapes with shitty sound quality out of love for the art… However it may be that that equates to falling off.

  17. this is a really good song: the rhymes are dreamy and poetic, the beat is organic and smooth and the lady singing fits perfectly with the vibe.

  18. well since he’s sill draggin n the Jesus LP to come out at the end of the month we prolly wont be seeing this for quite some time… shake how bout I throw 30 bucks your way, 20 for blu and 10 for you for the album, perfect deal hahaha

  19. Dead@ idiots claiming he fell off just cause of the electronic-esque music he’s made as of late. Blu can make that great shit on a whim. if noyork sounds different to his past soulfully jazzy music its because he wants it to be different. dude has yet to fall off.
    Blu>>>>>

  24. Who produced this?

  25. AK: Shafiq Husayn of SA-RA

  26. fire and soulful!

  27. Blu doing the electroshit now? Oh well, he had a decent run.

  28. ^^ somewhat true.. like that blue scholars album was wack as fuck, and man i used to be all over their shit. besides just being purely electronic beats, all that shit was the same from track to track.. n e wayz.

nah if u dont know blu always says he never wants his shit to sound ANYTHING like it did b4

  29. I like Blu A lot… doesnt get as much recognition as he should… lost my copy of Below the heavans… anyone know were i can get it?

  30. So Shake, since you heard it already, is it good? I mean I want to hear it myself before I rate it but I would still love to hear someone who has heard say they liked it.

  31. yo on the real i NEEEEEED some more blu music, dudes music is like weed for my soul,

  32. Blu needs to get the recognition that Kendrick and Jay Electronica get yo..dude is a true poet

  33. no york is not great at all. will go back to listening to the Mars remix to forget this album happened.
