Jay’s Decoded is now an app on iTunes in case you were too lazy to grab a hard copy of the book, and in this quickstrike video clip he talks about “The City Is Mine” from In My Lifetime, Vol. 1.

Thats why Hov is G.O.A.T.
I love that song it reminds me of growing up in ’97 or ’98 recording tapes of Power 106 on my grandmas radio. I was about 8 years old. I even remember Gangstarr’s Mass Appeal being played
at that time and Diddy’s No Way Out album was my shit. These songs I grew up on until I really started doing my Hip Hop history.
Teddy Riley did his thing on it.
I remember when Cam’ron dropped this video of all the lines Jay stole from Biggie and countless others haha. Peep it

Lisa…any body who was actually a fan of biggie..wuda known those lines werent STOLEN but BLATANT REFERENCING AND BIGGING UP of b.i.g…ONLY sum1 who had no idea of what biggies lyrics were cud think ohh word he jacked em from biggie..biggie was one of and is arguably the most famous rapper espesh in 1996 n jay was quotin him ever since he died not like 10 years after.
jay-z was quoating biggie when big was alive and bigge had no problem with it bigge quoted people to that haopends when you dont write your lyrics your sometimes you start of with a great quote and base the topic of the rap off the quote its not like jay-z never aknowledged it come they was good friends its a known fact that big jay charlie baltimore and cease was going to start a group
