  8. @thefactz I do believe that Jay has asked himself this question about “why am I still rapping at 40?” but I think his answer is: he is an artist. Just because a painter gets old does he put away his brushes? No. Hip hop/rap the culture is a form of expression that cant be held in place by age but possibly made stronger with the passing time.

  14. I smiled like a little bitch looking at these photos, esp the one of Jay sitting down while recording and the other where Kanye has fuckin flowers and candles laid out. By the way, Method Man & Redman’s “Blackout” is a classic album by 2 solo acts that really have chemistry on tracks. When Kanye/Jay get on tracks, it’s a great effort, but I still see them as 2 separate acts on a track instead of just people bouncing off each other.

    In all honestly, I’m not really concerned with hearing a new Jay-Z album, but moreso hearing new Kanye West music. ‘Cause Kanye seriously is making better music than Jay these days, and I’m big fans of both of them. Jay needs a guy like Kanye to get his creativity moving.

  18. Hip hop initially was about expansion and expresion now it’s in a state of decline, repetiton and limitations. Kanye and Jay-z are innovators and kings of the genre right now and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

This colabo is what we need to offset the garbage being pushed as Hip Hop. There are a few (Kendrick, Curren$y, Elzhi, J.Cole, Electronica, Reks, to name a few) reppin’ properly. Besides them, the game is full of filler. So, I’ll wait…

  34. Based on Kanye’s track record and the reviews I’ve heard, I have no reason to see why this won’t be a great album.

    As for people discrediting the album already, that’s just foolish. How are you going to diss an album that none of us know anything about? All you can go off of is expectations. Expectations are formed from the prior experiences the artist has given us. This is a Kanye dominated project. In my opinion. Its driven by him. Therefore I expect nothing but good music. With tracks crediting Otis Redding and reviewers saying there are a lot of introspective rhymes being laced, it should be amazing.

As soon as it arrives @ major retailers, it will leak because someone will steal a copy or if their Big Mom & Pop, will go ahead and throw it out there.

    I’ll buy it anyway. That’s the point of the cd case. Art. Physical Art. Not invisible digital nothingness.
