  17. Some of yall saying “tired of seeing these dudes in tights”, yet none of the movies (excluding Superman Returns, but that movie was shit anyway) featured dudes in tights. None have. And considering there are many different types of comics/heroes, this isnt a “trend”, its a genre that doesnt see an end no time soon.

  20. I mean I’m sick of superhero movies too, but as far as I’m concerned, “The Dark Night” was in contention for movie of the decade (“Gangs of New York” wins by a little bit). So this one must be seen, even tho I can’t imagine anybody topping that epic Joker performance.

    Inception def in the running. Maybe The Last Airbender (naw fuck that. Can’t even kid about that). The Green Mile was a REALLY deep movie for me. And maybe Memento as well?

  27. I could see Inception or Memento too, they were both great. Green Mile too, although I’m pretty sure that was in the ’90s. As I think about it, I would throw A History of Violence in there, too, that shit flew way under the radar but it was pretty wicked. I guess its just preferences, but I still feel like Gangs has got to be top five on most peoples list.

    1) Almost Famous
    2) Gangs of New York
    3) Inception
    4) A History of Violence
    5) The Dark Knight

    OK, so I have to eat my words. I forgot about Almost Famous, and thats just an awesome movie all around (not to mention it has the greatest soundtrack ever). And the only reason I didn’t put Lord of the Rings on there is because you can’t really single out 1 movie like that, but as a whole, they were pretty incredible.
