What the fuck happened to the real fucking singers?! No more Peabo Bryson, Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass, Donny Hathaway, or Bill Withers no more, everybody sounds like a bitch. They need to claim this shit down a bit and start sounding like men again!

  10. i’m agreeing with Rasan on this one. but not on some “where are all the real singers” shit. my thing is, if personal been had this style like thelonious said (still doesn’t clarify whether he’s been doing it before drake or been stealing from drake), a style that is being run into the FUCKING ground, and i’m assuming he’s on some next shit by the looks and sound of this song and video (which aren’t bad, considering), then why isn’t he on to the next shit? it’s not a bad song, but with him doing that whiny ass, “my girl left me and took the dog and last tampon with her” style of singing, it gets thrown in the pile of sound-alikes and wastes of time i will never listen to (on purpose) again…

What’s with this new thing you give an opinion on something, and happen not to like it people say you hating. Don’t people understand everybody not gonna love, like, or accept everything. I just gave my honest opinion, not that I think that alot of these dude don’t go some skills, but where is the diversity (especially vocally)? Why go with the trend set the trend nigga.   16. to address Rasan on the real though i think theres a big confusion now a days for artist like personal and the whole comparing of other artist like drake and etc. BPMs and hiphop influenced drums are not reasons to compare him to these artist. If you look at the hard-facts his style isnt like any of the artist you’ve named above NOR his content.. No one says anything about John Mayor bitching and complaining about a broken heart. but now that its hiphop influenced theres a problem? The songwriting here doesnt sound drakish or weeknd-ish to me. sounds to me more expressive. and these niggas dont be having raw ass videos like this.

  17. Anyone saying he’s mimicking anything/anyone doesn’t know anything. This has been dudes sound for a long time. It’s only better tuned now.. Also there is a difference between having an opinion or voice that’s constructive criticism and plain-old ignorant criticism.

    Obviously to people who have never heard Personal’s music, he’s going to come off as someone trying to follow a trend. But as a few people already said (including myself) he’s had this sound, this style, etc for a lot longer than the people you’re trying to say he stole from have.
