This is unexpectedly dope dope as shit. The beatsmith behind some of your favorite records and the former lead vocalist of The White Stripes linked up for a jam session, and they blessed us with the some of the end results. Check what Black had to say about it:
The time we spent in Nashville collaborating with Jack White was one of the greatest moments in my music career. It not only inspired me to continue to work hard as a producer, but also confirmed that staying true to my art, without compromise, can manifest into the type of rewards that money can’t buy.
Read the entire thing over at his home. The entire jam session, called Black Milk Live at Third Man Records, is set to drop soon. Props to eskay.

where are the links mayne?, im curious to see how this turned out
Just bought it on iTunes. Got to support Black Milk & his band.
Now look what you started Dan Auerbach! (And thanks for starting it)
@White Keys – Don’t think Dan Auerbach has anything to do with this. This is Black Milk, not the Black Keys…
THIS. Is dope.
I think what he’s getting at is the inspiration that the Blakroq album undoubetdly had on artists being willing to reach out across genres to find other talented musicians.
As I type that, though I can’t shake the memory of the 80s when the equivalent of this was Run-DMC and Aerosmith.
@me
yea, like bluz said, I was referring to the Blakroc album that seems to have inspired this new trend in blues rock/rap collaborations. Its a combo that’s always kinda made sense to me; both are very beat oriented, and blues artists often use more of a flowing style of singing than u see in a lot of other genres. and @bluz That’s also why I didn’t reference Walk This Way or any of those old Korn collabos, because they’re more stadium-rock styled and you don’t really get the same blues influence. Plus they were a while ago, and this is kinda a new trend.
@me I think hes talking about a popular alternative blues rock artist collaborating with hip hop MCs (blackroc)
What about John Mayer & Kanye or Adam Levine & Kanye or Chris Martin & Kanye.
#Yeezy Taught Them
@muzikfiend
those are more pop
@musikfiend
Homecoming is a good example. The other 2, I don’t see much blues influence.
no fucking way
@White Keys
Oh. My bad, I had never even heard of Blackroc. I’ll check it out now.
yyyyyeeeeeaaaaaaaaa, its that blues/rock/jazzy/hiphop sound… this shizz gon be illy…. smooth as hell too… fiii-yerrr!
LOL @ yeezy taught them…
but even tho that is a more pop example than this black milk/jack white shizz, it is still def in the same vein… this shit is just more of an underground version of that… both deserve madd respect as far as im concerned… i dig this shit
sounds like crap….jam band gone wrong
This is not like BlakRoc. That was a band collaborating this rappers. This is a Producer/rapper and his band collaborating with a Producer/musician and his team of players.
