  1. Anybody else disappointed by this song? The beat was on point and all, but i wanted something a little more lyrical from common and nas instead talking about bitches

  2. ^nah the lyrics wasn’t the problem, the beat wasn’t all that great… i mean i doubt this will get radio play or nothing… you prolly wont hear nobody riding by in they whip playing this… if they got lex lugar to produce this, then they would have a chance… do like some rick ross type shyt

  3. I was riding in my whip slapping this shit today… Lex luger?? GTFOH

whats with all these fuckboys hanging on ross’ nutsach?

  4. These two just need to do a collabo album together, and just have Kanye, Premo, and No I.D., and Hi-Tek handle the production….

  5. I second the first post. I was thinking it was gonna be nothing but raw lyricism paying homage to the golden era. But then it just turned out to be girl talk. It seems like NaS was even disappointed in the opening bars of his verse, like “Well, I wanted to go hard, but since Common only rapped about bitches, I guess I gotta do the same.” Still dope to see these legends collab, but I was expecting more.

  6. they should do an album…together..ish would go hard..
    …Walmart giving back after laying off over 50,000 people.. http://goo.gl/rQD8D $1,000 giftcards – I grab 2 of Them..LOL

  7. Can’t wait for this

  8. How dope would it be if Kanye signed Nas to G.O.O.D and then he would have himself, Nas, Common and Mos Def and since No I.D. been on his 90s shit beat wise, they all could form like a super group named The G.O.O.D Fellas. That shit would break all the talks about hip hop not being as good as it once was and the masses would have to love that shit, if they liking Ghetto Dreams. I mean I’m just thinking out loud but if anyone can do some shit like that it would be Ye.

  9. “The G.O.O.D Fellas” Wow, I like that idea actually lol

  10. lol they hate on common and nas… so you can tell the world is over.

    - Big L.

  11. Thanks man, it only seemed right since everybody is on top of their game and Ye is killing everything, all them legends.

  12. HATERS

SHit is dope cant wait for the vid n album Common and Nas I would let them finger me if i was a girl

  13. Haha, that G.O.O.D Fellas idea would be that most epic thing ever.

  14. The Good fellas idea would be good but very hard to do because they would all have to be creatively be in the same place and with great artists that almost never happens. Example , how long we been waiting on the CRS album? See what I mean.

  15. The GOOD Fellas idea is so dope, but these kind of things never pan out. but that would soo good.

  16. @ Marty Mcfly
Yea I hear you, I was just thinking out loud, but I don’t rule it out because at G.O.O.D music there is already three of them their, you can say 4 with No I.D. the only person they missing is NAS and at the end of the day, it’s Hip Hop, it’s their passion and their life. As oppose to CRS, where you had Lupe going through changes with his label and trying to end his rapping career with one last album (LUPE.N.D.) which luckily did not happen. Pharell is own his own shit touring the world and making clothes. Out of the three Ye is in my opinion the only one down with staying in the studio and NAS gotta pay up for his kid with Kelis so it’s a great option for him. With Common and Mos it’s whatever, so I just hope I can at least get a single song from those guys, I would be straight with that.

  17. DUDES GETTIN CLASSY WITH THE WINE

  18. To you niggaz that said this shit is weak, yall can go finger yaself lol str8 up tho! This shit is hip hop at it’s finest. Y’all must be to use to that over saturated trash that’s been polluting ya ears, either that or you must be a young fuck that was born in the late 90′s lol

  20. This song should have been about Nas old drama with Fox news and Commons drama with being at the white house for the poetry event , cause that would have made more sense.

  21. thefactz is a funny kid saying this beat aint all that & then puts up lex luger. No I.D. is TEN TIMES the beat maker Lugar is. most of No I.D.s beats stomps lugar’s best joint down bloody.

the rest of you come here & talk about some OTHER dream collab. if such a thing comes about then yall would do to that what you just did to this joint….. IGNORE it. yall are SLAVES to your attention deficit disorder. yall are pathetic.

back to the subject AT HAND: i been listening to ghetto dreams since it came out. its been marinating in my head since then & i gotta say its a CLASSIC. im not just saying that because of who came together to do it. im saying that they really put out high quality ish. probably going down as top 5 songs put out this year.

  22. I would say the song is dope especially the beat and of course the two artists are legendary but as for a the subject matter and how it doesnt even match the hook. I think it was rushed or they just didnt have any good ideas at the time so they rhymed about some girls. Fans have been waiting for these two to do a song since the early 90s and the beat was epic but the subject matter was not that dope.

  23. why are there 5 dislikes on here? they straight up murdered this shit.

  24. Omar are we on our cycle little guy!!!

  25. Nas is coming back in full force this year! God damn!

  26. @HATER

    ?????

  27. C-Section is for the Haters. -Dr. Luis Johnson

  28. common and nas are both legends keep hip hop alive

  29. damn this dude, marty mcbiatch still here? smh lol

  30. ^^^ Yep and your name is gay as hell. LOL

  31. this song is classic. full stop.

the irony is i bet whoever dissed it listeniin to that new kreayshawn song and defendin her. get outta here!

  32. http://hulkshare.com/5ts90tle6uoz

  33. Its actually nothing wrong with this song.and to the dude whp says it won’t get radio play.well I’ve been listening to the radio all week and Funkmaster Flex for Hot 97 been playing this constantly dropping bombs on it

  34. To the young faggot who thought a Lex Luger beat was a better idea, why don’t you just go fuck your mom. *Grabs hiphop pass and tears it off dude’s shirt* Gimme that shit!

  35. This is going to be absolutely amazing!
And I LOVE that beat! I like that it’s not all Radio-friendly and all that.. There’s a point in making such a beat to this kind of song..

  36. Honestly, you guys are missing the point of the song. This is about getting out the ghetto, “Ghetto Dreams,” and both of their dreams were to have hot bitches. There’s a coherent theme here, escaping the ghetto, through women. GREAT song.

  37. @Turtle STOP because ghetto dreams and hot bitches is not a coherent theme. It can be on a low level way of thinkin but we talking about Common and Nas , two of the greatest rappers to touch a mic. So dont imply that their talk about bitches is their way of expressing the dreams of people in the ghetto because that just an excuse for bad subject matter. Im a huge fan of these guys but I gotta keep it real and sometimes these kind of things happen with great artists so its no big deal. The beat is still fire. Common has a old song called All Night Long with Eyrkah Badu , now if the song featured Nas and was more along that vibe it would be dope but this beat is just too HARD to be talking about girls.

  38. Two of my favorite emcees of all time.

  39. if you commented on this yous a fag kill yo self nigga come find me ill rape yo moms

  40. Nas and Common have rapping about serious social issues throughout their careers. Some of you people are confused…one minut you calling Nas “preachy” for talking about serious social issues and now you want him and Common to make a song about social issues in the ghetto. How about the few of you complaining go make the song you want Nas and Common to make and STFU!
